Opioids Delayed reaction when IV-ing

I have noticed recently that when Iv-ing heroin it is taking more time to feel the shot. A few weeks ago it would only take 3-5 seconds to feel the rush, now it is taking up to 10 seconds. Does this have to do with vein damage? Oh. This isnt ECP. This is BTH.

And I wasnt sure where this thread should go.

Depends how big the vein is and where, and if you pierced the vein, you registered and also have leakage possibly, causing delayed rush...I have this problem also mostly in my wrist...as I blown all my others veins...hey at least you didn't miss and gotta wait 3-5min

It is the large vein in the bend of my arm. In my 7 years of using I have only missed a handful of times. Its not bruised, and I always use new rigs. Im guessing I need to switch to another spot for awhile, and give this vein a rest.

Do you rash out more than usual when you shoot up and get delayed effect ? That is a tell tale sign of a pierced vein leaking out the drug ...I assume heroin ? If not disregard the rashing out and histamine effect ..def find a new spot or go higher up on your arm, so you can bypass any possible leaks in the vein or it just ready to fold...try same vein but higher up your arm, if you do not get a delay you know why you were...

No theres no rash or redness. I actually just switched to my other arm and it was like normal. And its Black tar heroin. Its very good quality, and is always a very nice amber color when drawn up. I have seen some draw up black, and I usually stay away from that because most likely its been cut with something. I am getting probably the best quality tar around because of my location being so close to mexico, and I know for a fact the source I am coping from is the first to touch it when it gets to the U.S., and they are not cutting it. Black Tar is horrible on the veins, and I am guessing that I need to not IV in one spot for extended periods of time. I just have never had this problem.

Different batches of dope can hit differently. There's the kind that hits fast and hard, then tapers off quickly.. then some that hits slower, but has a longer lasting high, etc. All dope is not created equal with how fast and intense the rush is.

10 seconds sounds about right. And like Mr S said some kit hits you quicker. The only other logical thing I can think of is that when it only took 3-5 seconds to hit you had quite high blood pressure (which makes sense if you didn't have dope in your system) therefor when it took 10 seconds your blood pressure was considerably lower. Let's face it though if you didn't miss any then 5 seconds really isn't going to make any difference...

Listen to Mr S he is the man around blue light. All dope is different I could see if you were shooting the same pills over and over and you went from feeling them instantly to it taking 10-15 seconds then I may be worried you have vein damage. Remember no matter how close you are to pure dope its all gonna be a bit different some batches of opium are strong and fast acting whereas others take a bit of time to kick in but last longer then you could also get crappy opium the cartel may have gotten for really cheap of some poor poppy farmer who didn't yeild as much opium as he thought do the cartels just three him a bone and bought it for dirt cheap (they only care about money not the junkies putting the shit directly into their viens or snorting it up their noses over in the united states.

Hope this isn't OT as it is a different substance I am talking about, but I don't think this phenomenon is exclusive to heroin or opioids. I am an IV user of primarily methamphetamine, and the different rushes across different batches of gear has always been intriguing to me - regardless of overall strength/quality, some batches hit me like a freight train as soon as I pull the needle out (or even before) and some will take up to about 10 seconds to start hitting (although it's usually more like 5).

I almost always inject the same amount (0.1g)

Some rushes will have me fumbling for a place to sit down and some will gradually, gradually rise to a blissful peak where I feel (mostly) in control for the duration.

It's a very enjoyable field to conduct research in :-D
