Deep thoughts and Introspection

I get very introspective on LSD. I've spent entire trips lying on my bed alone pondering the wonders of the universe. In fact I find it far to difficult to be social while I'm tripping because my mind races at 100 mph and I can't escape my thoughts.

Even though I've read countless trip reports of people tripping WITH people and still getting these kind of experiences... Even on smaller doses of what I've taken.

No need for the sarcasm mate.

Oh, come on, you're a big boy, you can take a little sarcasm... just a friendly poke in the ribs, bud! Makes ya tougher, right?!

Well, sorry if you're sensitive.

People are distractions when tripping.

Precisely. We are such intensely social creatures that when you are tripping and your control systems kind of have a mind of their own, people can end up being caught in this sort of icky obsession with trying to bond with and conform to the thoughts perceptions and expectations of the people around them.

Thats why the presence of other people is a HUGE GIGANTIC distraction from any spiritual or "deep" experiences.... we just cannot help ourselves from becoming obsessed with the other people, or using them as anchors to "normal" reality.

Deepest trips involve JUST YOU AND THE WORLD

the old school LSD psychotherapy model is great for eliciting the more useful side of things like LSD, psilocybin, & some 2c-x's. Short version is get some music, usually classical, headphones, and eye shades. Set up a lengthy playlist, put on headphones, apply eyeshades, relax. There's plenty of more detailed info on erowid.

this sounds like something i just have to try

I have to agree. I always felt that certain people are more social than others coupled with the fact that individuals who are more independent from others are often on the fringes of society(not always the case) and thought of as less than normal(also not always the case). I feel the only reason to trip with others is to create a special bond with them and also bounce ideas of each other.
