smart green eyes always sparkling
hide inner layers of depth
soft spoken smiles of luxury
accent her beautiful self
long soft hair of brilliant red
my fingers long to touch
clad only in cute pajama pants
for my senses she's too much
only wanting love
offering her passion
just want to hold her
in love that's everlasting
falls asleep in my arms
head resting on my shoulder
while I lay and wonder
where the day goes when it's over
I question, she answers
forces changing of the guards
alters my perceptions
remodels my house of cards
each delicately placed
all dependant on those below
it's the structure of my reason
the reason my mind flows
she'll take one from the bottom
& place it on the top
with uncanny precision
without so much a thought
by perfect manipulation
through unspoken thoughts
the house stays up, the structure's changed
light shines replacing doubt
my thoughts now clear, my neurons fire
with eyes staring at the sun
burnt pupils fill with streaming tears
our separate paths merge to one
I smile a smile of happiness
knowing her face will show the same
as fate smiles down on both of us
for winning at its old game...
of forcing soulmates' paths to part
by spite, selfishness & pain
