Decoration for our rave

Hello bl!

Some friends and I thought about the shitty rave scene in the place where we live, so we decided to pick it up ourselves and last year in march, we hosted our first jungle/dnb/raggatek/breakcore rave called 'Mowgli is massive'. It was a bigger success than expected and about 400 people showed up. We made quite a bit of money so we were able to book Vandal (UK) and we hope that it's gonna be a success again.

We were giving out tasks and me and another friend wanted to take the decoration for our account. Last time, we had 4 huge army nets (? idk if it is correct in english) which we hung on the walls and one big parachute which we put on the ceiling. For the next edition, we're gonna use the nets and parachute again but this time we were thinking about putting palm trees and other awesome plants in there, hang bananas from the ceiling and project trippy visuals on the walls. Anyways, what decoration would YOU want to see at a rave? We're really motivated to get cool decoration because that's what makes it so special imo.

So please, fire :D

Illuminaughty has some top notch decorations every time. Flicking through event galleries and the stuff on that decor hire page might be a good place to get some inspiration.

I like the plant idea. You could also add some glowing mushrooms. That'd be pretty sick.

IIRC they have an illuminaughty club or something at the uni here (never been). Think that may be deco/entertainment related although this was a few years back. Get yourself a gang of youths on the job and see what they turn up with!

I like the glowing mushrooms idea.. Definitely should do alot of neon colors everywhere. Neon sheets hanging randomly from the ceiling with lots of lights behind the sheets or (cloth)..
-and its just a given that you must have a few strobe lights.

Do you know about the event in Vegas called "EDC"?? you could get alot of idea from that deal if you look it up on google or youtube! It was an awesome theme

Nope, we're from Belgium. Thanks a lot for the advice guys! The glowing mushrooms in that video look SICK. Well, light and sound is settled. We'll be taking the same light and sound people from last time, they did an awesome job with all kinds of lights and strobes and lasers and stuff. We just need decoration for the walls and the ceiling and stuff. For the entrance we're gonna make/hire a little wooden hut and we got a shit load of camo nets so the netting shouldn't be a problem :D

The dj booth is gonna have multiple palm trees and we'll be giving away free fruit and stuff. We're also gonna get a big, white sheet (dunno if that is right in english) and paint it with blacklight paint (my friends mother works in china and it costs almost nothing there, woop!)

@ Ollusion, thats what we are! We're all 18-19 years old and full of motivation so hopefully it will be a banger. Thanks for the replies!
