Hello all. I,through being enlightened by doctors have decided to quit my already low dose (20mg Percocet/day) opioid usage, which isn't worth a lick of shit anymore. I will of course put a bottle of Perc's away, but I mean it, I'm done. I am however switching to cannabis for pain, is my answer. I had what was told to me to be edibles from Michigan. They seemed to be really dank, Sativa fruity pebbles edibles. I mean these things emitted a wonderful smell. I can't mention price, but I felt I received a great deal. Each edible was 5'x3'x1.5' in size. I could get 12 equal pieces out of each edible.
Long story short, to truely enjoy, them, I would need twice as much a month. I'm not pricing, but honestly It is cheaper then a month of Starbucks (that's pretty subjective ;) , so no harm done) I have had people tell me I still would need an opiate. I don't want any. I believe I can get all the relief I need with mainly edibles, but some smoke also. Is there any suggestions or ways to keep this simple, that I can just jump into this. I really would like to get started pretty soon. I would prefer edibles simply for the metered dosing and lack of smell. Thanks

Not sure what exactly the question is.

Yes you can use pot for pain, your milage may vary of course, and different strains etc have different effects.

I find edibles in the morning on an empty stomach usually do me for the whole day, but I will vape/smoke as needed throughout.

:) I'm interested in your thread, SK. As I've said too many times I'm sure pain meds cause me more harm than good.

Good luck!

Try FECO (Full Extract Cannabis Oil) aka "Rick Simpson Oil." It could be what those edibles are made with anyway. It's the cheapest way to get cannabinoids into your body. It's an oil that's decarbed during production so you can just eat it straight. It's extremely sticky so it usually comes in an oral syringe. For my pain/nausea, a gram usually lasts me 7-10 days, and I've been taking it daily for over 2 years.

I like the idea. The timing sounds good

Weed is actually very good for pain, but defintley not as strong as opiates, but still VERY effective.

Honestly if weed was prescribed for pain then thousands would be saved from prescription opiate overdoses.

The absolute truth. Folks get this. My doctor wants to put me on ketamine, to reset or greatly help my opiate receptors. I'm kind of excited.

:X Lost one helluva post...Just don't have it in me to rethink/retype.

Fruity pebbles sound good! My 2 samples are already in route, SK. I'm trying 2 separate concentrates...Cannatonic and Durban Poison (pain relief or mood lifting so that I don't give a fuck that I feel gutted in pain)

I'm told the stuff I'm getting is STANK smell/taste, but doable. Fingers and toes crossed!
