As the subject sayeth. I”ve calibrated my air fryer using a ThermoPro Tempspike wireless thermometer when cooking a pork tenderloin. The ambient sensor portion of the Tempspikeis dead on accurate for my programmed temperature and more so than my oven.

Thanks

Tom

I'd maybe be worried about excessive air flow vaporising your terps is there a way you'd be able to cover the flower up while it's in there, wrap it in a tin foil parcel maybe? Also how easy are they to clean inside? Don't want old tenderloin juice dripping on your bud lol.

Not that you asked, but I've had success using a Crockpot/slow cooker for both decarbing and infusing.

I'll continue beating this horse until long after its dead but if you're considering alternative methods I would go for sous vide decarb every time. No smell and its in a sealed container so you retain all of those nice volatile compounds that would leave in an oven or air frier

And seeing as I'm a Crockpot devotee I'll add that you can achieve similar results to that video using a Crockpot and a cliptop kilner jar. You even skip the decarb step if inclined and infuse flower directly into oil. It'll decarb while infusing.

Just depends what you happen to have around the house really.

Love how we've failed to answer OPs question in the most elaborate way possible lol. You'll have to let us know how it works @Thomas Davie

Thanks for all the replies; so here’s some information
- I used to decarb open top (non sealed) in a slow cooker, and although it did make the house smell wonderful I was aware of the loss of volatile terpenes/aromatics. I do have a heat/vacuum sealer now.
-was planning on using small glass ramekins w/lids in the air fryer to cut down off loss of goodies.

-the air fryer is more accurate temperature wise than my oven. In the past I have over cooked my Cannabis and set it on fire once; although this was prior to buying a wireless thermometer.

sous vide eh? That’s another gadget I can acquire, so that’s a definite possibility

Now that I’m over my LYME disease I want to start back on edibles. Honestly it’s been fairly miserable w/o Cannabis, even though I’ve had an occasional puff on a vape cartridge. Doctors advised against Cannabis while on Prednisone/Doxycycline. Now it’s off to the races again.

Thanks again.
