obviously, in this situation, your adrenaline is pumping and you arent thinking as logically,
but if she was in the car, and this kid, with stab wounds in the throat and torso, has to reach in through a shattered window to stab at her, i see many other non-fatal ways of controlling the situation.

ahh ok thanks. The video doesnt say that, it just says he was bangin on the window wit a big knife. Yah ok if someone was attacking me with a huge knife id put two bullets int heir nutsakc and five in the chest.

I agree, non-lethal force should have been used. It is sad that the police no longer care if a person is sick or crazy they just shoot.

As for wanting to kill on shrooms I think I have an interesting perspective on that. On at least one of my mushroom trips while walking around my darkend house I have reverted to an almost primal stage where I crouch like a gorilla with my hands on the floor breathing heavily. I feel invincible, and even confrontational during the stage of turning back to a primate. I don't see myself ever acting on these intense feelings though, I have more self control then that.

Thorazine darts - pfft - no such thing, and if there was it wouldn't work in a situation like this anyhow. IM injections don't work immediately. I'm sure you're kidding, but someone will read that and go "those Thorazine darts rock" and another urban myth will kick off...

Not to defend irresponsible drug use but I find it interesting that the father was the one that said his son was on the shrooms..... as if he is shifting blame to the substance instead of how he raised his son. Interesting. Very interesting....
 
man i went to HS with that kid and graduated with his brother....they werent what you would call a normal american family, but the kid didnt seem crazy...however, someone else who knew him better than i did said he was on PCP, which in my opinion clears it up a little bit.

I hate to say that PCP causes people to go crazy (ala the stereotypes) but it would explain the stronger than shroom level dislocation and loss of touch with reality.

It still kinda blocks my mind that this was 2 blocks away from my parents house...and they shot him dead instead of wounding him, those fuckers.
 
Yeah at first I didnt believe this story, but if it was PCP then theres a good chance it is true.

Oh.. and just a question to some of you, how can you support drug use, yet at the same time, give shit to police officers for shooting him claiming it was the drugs fault.

I dont have a problem with alot of drugs, but by the same token- I take responsibility for anything I do while under them.

I disagree, I know that if someone were to come at me with a knife and stab it into my window while i was driving, I'd probably be saving my life more than subduing someone. Not everyone from Ohio is a redneck (just a guess)

I cant really blame the officer for shooting him,

She was sitting in her (Probally seat-belted in), And had someone at her (broken out) window slashing at her with a large hunting knife, She really didn't have a lot of options (Could not have used her baton too well while sitting in her car while the suspect was outside), As far as shooting him in the legs or something, That also wouldnt have been too easy ifhe was standing outside the car right up against it and slashing at her, The only place she could shoot would be the stomach or chest.


The way police cars are laid out in the front seats (Atleast around where I live), They cant really lean to the passenger side to try and avoid that type of thing, They have their LEIN Console (Law Enforcement Information Network) and possibly a shotgun in a rack right in the middle of the seat, And they cant really lean or duck over to the right too easily, I dont know if the cruisers are like that where this happened, But I am just guessing..


Anyways..

It was sad, He should have had a sitter.
I heard rumors that the guy who gave him the shrooms put PCP on him just to fuck with him, but I dont know if that is true or not, Just rumors.
 
Actually, I wouldn't go blaiming the people in #drugheads for egging him on. As far as I can see there wasn't much "egging" going on anyways. The worst that was said was "just eat them"... by the way, I have seen far worse advice given to randoms in #bluelight on undernet, mind you, a supposed harm minimisation channel.
 
If he really wanted to kill himself, at least he did it in a funny way. Too bad he didn't kill any of the pigs.
 
man thats pretty close to where i am right now.. pure craziness, but i'll believe it because thats how fucked up it is here..
