The world went silent as a child was born to a woman and a man of God. The stars dancing in the skies. Angels were singing. Joseph took the baby and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and layed him over the new mothers chest. She wrapped her arms around him and prayed. God watched upon the world as his son was delivered away from his Heavenly home. There was no doubt God's love was there. An angel had told the story of what was to come if Mary had the faith God knew she did. Joseph looked in his sons face and smiled. They knew hard times were to come but with the miracle they had been blessed with would eternally save them. The days went on and the boy grew, they called him Jesus. He began telling people of his heavenly father and what he wanted. He spread his fathers word far and wide. The day came when Mary and Joseph had to let there son go and do the will the Father intended. People followed him, some wanted to learn more, others spat at him, cried to him for mercy, screamed at him, hated him, and some loved him. Some thought he was just another false prophet, others believed he was the true massiah. He worked miracles and clinged to faith. He healed the sick, made the blind to see. brought the widows son and Lazarus back from the dead and yet they still wouldn't believe. Mary new the day was coming when she would have to give her son back to God completely. But the price was worth the cost. The hours were melting away as Jesus went into the garden of Gethsemane with his disciples and asked them to pray. He went away from them and began to pray. His heart racing and his face covered in tears. He knew what he had to do. He asked his father to romove the wrath he had on the world. God told Jesus this is what was to be. As time went by the soldiers came for him. They took him away. Jesus went with them, his heart broken and full of sorrow, not at God but at the people of the world. The crowd cried for his death. The words filled his ears as he prayed. The soldiers beat him, ripped the hair from his face, jabbed him, kicked him, tortured him. Jesus held on for his time had not yet come. His body shaking and ready for saving. They made a crown of thorns, put it around his head and dug the thorns deep. The blood ran down his face. The cross ready and he carried it. In the midst of this heartbreaking fate, Mary watched tears streaming her face. Her motherly heart reaching out for her baby boy. Knowing she could not stop them or him. She yearned to hold her son and keep him from such pain and suffering. The cross set up at Golgotha. Still clinging on by Gods love they layed him on the cross. They drove the nails through his hands and his feet. The cross was brought up as the people watched, some cheering and some weaping. Mary stood before her son, the son of man and prayed. She was there when he took the first breath of life on Earth, and she was there when he took his last. Jesus prayed for the people of this world through a shaky, pain filled voice, "Father please forgive them, for they know not what they do." He took our sins, every burden, every wrong and created our way home to Heaven. The world quiet and then he died. 3 days pass as Mary is told the body has been taken. The fear any mother would have filled her as they went to find Jesus alive! Jesus in Heavens beauty was before them. He asks they "why do they look for the living among the dead?" He came to show that death did not hold him. He came to show that God brought him from bondage of death to live forever in wait...for us.
