Opioids Dealing with opioid induced stomach aches

Anyone else here get severe stomach aches when they take opioids? If so, have you found any tricks for alleviating it? <snip>sent me a free sample of minthostachys setosa (muna) and that stuff seems to work. Only tried it twice though, mighta been a coincidence. I have a mint bush (I think its spearmint) in my garden so I've tried drinking lots of that but it didn't work. I read that chamomile, peppermint and ginger remedy stomach aches. All 3 of those remedy nausea too so they'd be worth stocking up on for opioid users. Next time I order something from <snip>, I'm gonna stock up on that muna stuff.

Yes, what er, 'kind' of stomach pains are you getting? I get uncomfortable abdominal sensations that I attest to the constipation. But I do get very naseauous if I'm not eating right. I can tell you that what you eat will definitely have an effect on you...i try very hard not to eat super fat and greasy or processed foods, I almost always yack them out later.

Depends which aspect of stomach aches your talking about. I don't get stomach aches from my pain medication, (although morphine does bloat me up a fair bit and stops my GI in it's tracts.)

What opiates are you taking and what ROA?

Codeine and dihydrocodeine and I've got pains after oral ingestion, as well as insufflation. They're the only 2 ROAs I've used often. I got these stomach aches pretty with kratom yesterday too.


Scottadone: Yeah I think food has something to do with it, I remember the worst case of pain I got was after eating a bowl of serial. I've had a constipation pain before when I was binging on heroin, it was much milder than these aches I get from weaker opioids.
