This fuckin disgusts me, how many 100's of 1000's of dollars went into this bullshit?? This is more fucked up when you concider that the house they hit was probably within a three block radius of 5 crack or smack houses! I mean really, two kilos of root bark, whoooo don't you only get 3-4 grams per kilo? *SIIIIIIIGGGGGHH* Let's make it look like a huge success now, you just wiped out the personal supply of a small group of friends, go war on drug skillz! :X

*Note how they 'manufactured' the drug, make it sound like a synth and not just a simple extraction anyone could do...

Anyway...

Feds shut down psychedelic drug lab, arrest four
By Dan Herbeck
Four men were arrested this morning as federal drug agents busted a South Buffalo laboratory where a potent psychedelic drug known as dimethyltryptamine — or DMT — was being manufactured illegally.

The clandestine drug lab was believed to have been operated for at least the past six months in a house on Fredro Street, in the Clinton-Bailey area, said Dale Kasprzyk, a Buffalo supervisor of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

"To our knowledge, this is the first DMT lab busted in Western New York, and only the third ever in New York state," Kasprzyk said. "DMT is a drug that is just beginning to emerge in this area."

Arrested on felony drug conspiracy charges were:

• L. Korbel, 26. He was described by agents as the "chemist" who made the DMT.

• David Romanczak, 25, whose Fredro Street residence hosted the lab.

• Nicholas Riordan, 21, and Britton Haima, 22, both of Maelou Drive, Hamburg, alleged sellers of the drug.

DEA agents worked on the investigation with Cheektowaga Police, Buffalo Police and the New York State Police, Kasprzyk said.

More detailed information will be released by the U.S. Attorney's office at federal court later today, the agent said.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (Map, News) - Four people are charged with operating a clandestine basement lab that cooked up a powerful, plant-based hallucinogenic drug called DMT.

U.S. Attorney Terrance Flynn says 21-year-old Nicholas Riordan, 22-year-old Britton Haima, 26-year-old L. Korbel, and 25-year-old David Romanczak were arrested after Drug Enforcement Agency agents and police found the DMT lab in Romanczak's Buffalo apartment.

Agents seized four to five pounds of powdered mimosa tree bark and chemicals used to extract hallucinogenic dimethyltryptamine from the bark.

DMT, which can be extracted from a variety of plants, is used in shamanic rituals in the Amazon region and has become popular as a street drug similar to LSD. Agents say this was the third DMT lab found in New York.

Four arrested as agents shut down drug lab
By Dan Herbeck

Four young men were arrested Wednesday when federal drug agents shut down a South Buffalo home laboratory where a potent psychedelic drug — dimethyltryptamine, or DMT — was being manufactured illegally.

The clandestine drug lab allegedly operated for at least the past six months in a house on Fredro Street, in the Clinton- Bailey area, said Dale Kasprzyk, a Buffalo supervisor of the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

“To our knowledge, this is the first DMT lab busted in Western New York, and only the third ever in New York State,” Kasprzyk said. “DMT is a drug that is just beginning to emerge in this area.”

Arrested on felony drug conspiracy charges were:

• L. Korbel, 26. He was described by agents as the “chemist” who made the DMT.

• David Romanczak, 25, whose Fredro Street residence housed the lab.

• Nicholas Riordan, 21, and Britton Haima, 22, both of Maelou Drive, Hamburg, alleged sellers of the drug.

The lab in Romanczak’s home used crockpots and other kitchen tools to manufacture DMT with an unusually high level of purity, using an extract from the Mimosa tree, agents said.

“We first started hearing a few months ago about DMT being sold in the Hamburg area,” Kasprzyk said.

The DEA describes DMT as a controlled substance that is similar to LSD in some respects and causes hallucinations. While DMT is manufactured by drug dealers, the chemical also occurs naturally in the human brain.

Police said DMT was selling locally for about $400 a gram, but each gram can be used to make about 100 doses, making it a relatively cheap drug to use.

DEA agents worked on the investigation with Cheektowaga police, Buffalo police and state police, Kasprzyk said. Assistant U. S. Attorney Mary Clare Kane is prosecuting the case.

According to court papers, a cooperating witness working with the DEA bought a small amount of LSD from Riordan in September. In early October, Riordan offered the witness a chance to try “a new drug” — DMT — which the witness purchased with DEA funds in October and this month.

The investigation into Riordan’s activities led to the other three defendants, the DEA said in court papers.

I can't say I blame the DEA or police, that is their job, just like the drug dealer's job is to break the law and sell drugs, their job is to enforce the law and take down the dealers, and unfortunately the users as well, which is a shame. Can't say I'm overly upset by this, by the looks of things they were selling the drug, and if you're selling drugs, you KNOW what the consequences are. Maybe I'm taking the wrong stance here, I mean, they didn't find that much DMT/material, but apparently they've been monitoring them for a good 6 months, so I doubt these are just a few friends who wanna trip, by the sounds of things they are dealers. Are they bad people? Who knows, there ain't that much crime associated with psychedelic drugs but who knows what these dudes pasts were, how can you just defend drug dealers like this? I really don't have compassion for dealers, they are profiteers, we the users should not be subject to current laws, but dealers are advantageous little capitalists themselves, and they full well know what the consequences are.

In my opinion, due to this arrest, we have a few people now in prison who in the first place were probably not major contributors to society, now they are eating up tax payer dollars, hmm. I say let them have their freedom and put them through some intense community service, so they can start giving back to the community they have profited from. This is more towards all dealers though, not necessarily this particular group, still, without knowing who they are, and what they have done, what they have dealt in the past, I can't defend them like the OP.

lawl, too bad this isnt the 60's, or else this might be some news.

luckily for the ppl who like psychs, they kinda fly under the radar, especially with drugs you can extract from other botanicals or like with research chems.

I can't say I'd defend them either if they're ripping people off at $400/g. Seriously.

And a gram can be split into a hundred doses if you like your DMT sessions to be on the lighter side.

well not to say I'm really defending dealers, but it's just bullshit that in an area so heavily flooded with heroin and crack they would waste money and time on these super small time individuals involved with substances that don't really hurt the users or community.

And hearing it called a lab is just annoying lol

I can't say I feel bad for them if their main motivation was profit. If they weren't selling it on the other hand, this would be terribly sad.

I don't understand you bluelighters that condemn drug dealers as "capitalist profiteers." Do you honestly expect people to face the consequences of being caught distributing drugs and not profit off of it? You would never get the drugs you like if people only gave drugs away out of the goodness of their hearts.

IMO don't blame the dealers, blame the .gov who made the current situation.

300 million americans were busted today, charged with the illlegal manufacture of DMT,
the high-tech laborities so small they were operated inside the heads of the manufacturers.

The DEA then proceded to bust and arrest themselves for similar charges, then the world imploded and Xenu claimed his rightful place as ruler of the universe.

Trust me, I do blame the govt for the current situation. However, something as sacred and powerful as DMT should never be bought or sold IMO. The question of profit shouldn't even be on the table.

If the govt were to outlaw prayer tomorrow, that would be wrong... but it wouldn't make it any less wrong for people to profit off of what is a human being's God given right.

I primarily blame the government, but as it stands, it is a good day to hear of drug DEALERS being put behind bars, IMO, because they are a part of the 'bad' criminal world, not our 'criminal' world where we get high, more the world where you shoot people, stab people, mug people, trick people, cut drugs, kill police officers, bla bla bla, etc. etc. I understand the need for profit, and as many drug dealers have no other vocational skills at all, this is where they get their money, the point I'd like to make is that they profit heavily, because they can, and that makes them capitalist profiteers. There is no compassion, no reduction in price if they happen to receive one, there is no regulation, which is the governments fault, but as such they can double the price they paid per weight and add cut and no one would be the wiser.

My view of drug dealers is that they are greedy, they will rip you off if you appear weak or not knowledgeable, they don't care about you, they don't really offer any form of service, and if they do they will be 4 fucking hours late anyways, I mean, I just don't care if they are arrested, because currently they are filling an occupation that is useless and should not exist in the first place and they do a bloody poor job at it anyways.

Basically, it is just criminality at its finest, they shouldn't even exist and yet they are profiting, and in some cases very heavily, that's all I guess I wanna say, I just feel that it is a useless part of society that promotes crime, and if you're a part of it you should be subject to imprisonment, however, in the grand scheme of things, your involvement should have never been necessary nor possible.

LOL! yes the irony of it all.

I've never seen run-on sentences used so effectively =)

drug dealers are not criminals in my opinion as selling drugs is not a crime, so they shouldnt be locked up. sure some drug dealers commit crimes but selling drugs isnt imo.

OK First off. NO. just no. Not all drug dealers shoot people and kill cops. That idea is fuking retarded. You are thinking of organized crime syndicates. These 3 guys were most likely not shooting people and cutting up drugs with harmful chemicals. DMT extraction is easy. and they weren't that large scale.
