De-sensitized to touch and intimacy

To recap from a previous post, I'm just coming out of an emotionally abusive relationship that has left me a little messed up. In my relationship, we took kissing for granted. We didn't just kiss to kiss. It was either a peck on the lips good morning or a peck on the lips before taking our clothes off and jumping straight into sex. Touching was reserved for what little foreplay we had.
So now I'm talking to a new guy (he's a virgin :)) He shy but adorable, and he loves to kiss just for the pleasure of it, and he touches me on the arm or the thigh and I realize I should feel exhilarated and thrilled and so turned on, but I don't realize this until after. In the moment, it seems like no big deal, it's just a kiss or a touch. I want to get chills when he touches me, but I'm so turned off from my previous relationship that I don't register the significance of small intimate acts anymore. It's not that my nerve endings are de-sensitized or anything, just a psychological Barrier of "it's only sex". How can I get past this and start apreciatilng the little things again?
