day after rolling

Ok, maybe im over thinking here ..cause I do that sometimes ..I rolled Saturday night, had a great time ..felt ok the next day not to bad ...for some reason I tried to roll the next night, ate 3 pills and felt nothing ( i know normal ) but the next day I was perfect ..didn't feel like I tried to roll the night before at all ..so even though the pills didn't work the 2nd night how come I also had no ill effects the next day? What exactly causes the next day hangover then? This make sense? it does to me ..
