I've posted in other threads but I have a question to you all who have overcome opiate addictions. My addiction is my prescribed 10mg Percocet 75/ month and 20-30g of Kratom daily. I am on day 5 and I'm feeling bad again, after feeling like I was making progress. The physical symptoms went away enough for me to workout yesterday. However, today I am running a low grade fever, with chills and body aches. I don't want to move. Im freezing and my appetite is gone again. Is this a coincidence? I have not relapsed at all. So confused and feel so tired of feeling sick

Its just part of the process. Day 5 is still really early your just going to have to be patient and take it as it comes. Your brain is all out of whack and trying to reestablish homeostasis. Also withdrawal is rough on your body immune system included so you might have a cold as well.

Yeah don't fret too much. You're probably just getting sick. Legitimately sick lol. Take away all that acetamenaphine we are used to taking and also WD's like Crimson said; they take their toll. Drink lots of fluids and try drinks that replenish potassium and all that good stuff. Hang in there.

Omg, last night I experienced the worst kidney pain in my life. I couldn't move and I nearly went to the ER. This kidney pain stuff is part of the reason I was given pain meds to begin with. I didn't go. However, it's possible I have a kidney infection, which is painful and I'm trying to get into the doctor. I'm trying to do this without pain meds but it's soooo hard. I'm still running a fever today. I'd say I'm really really sick. It sucks. I've been home in bed all week and I am so bored and lonely :(. All I can do is think about the negative things in life.

Sometimes we get sicker after initial onslaught of Wds Keep it up don't give in its just your body looking for the easy fix. Apple cider vinegar is good for the old flush. You may be ill too it has happened to me. Lowered immune system and all. Vitamins and ACV. Fix on the good to come from this. Every step backwards is closer to where you were. Keep moving. Never alone.

You may also really be sick. Withdawl can take a toll on us both phisically and emotionally. The phisical strain can leave our immune system weakened making us more susptable to illness.

I would certainly see a DR. When you see the doc consider asking them if it ok for you take vitamins with whatever condition you have. If its all good then I would take a high quality multivitamin and an additional vitamin D sup.

I would drink some Gatorade to make sure your hydrated and have sufficient electrolytes.

Be kind to yourself, take it easy and try to get some good sleep.

Here is a thread about nutritional promotion to heal from addiction.

I too am 13 days sober and have had something upper respiratory for about 4 days now. I guess this is sometimes to be expected.
