I noticed that my watch stopped,
A sudden switch that halted my shuffling feet
What if I stop knowing?
What if the minutes stop counting my presence?
Tick, and slide,
Halfway down the disc that tells me
When, where, and why
I must be there.
Shadows fell when night awoke
I, engulfed by soft pillows and the solace of pitch black
What if I miss the sunrise?
Could I pass half of a day without obligation?
I lay here, sleepy breaths
Pepper what I suppose to be
This, the greatest dawn
My lungs empty to the beat of your heart
Spilling out in time, in justice
To the rhythm of what I should be
Not counted, nor measured
Simply expelled,
In tune to the circular rhythms of my own heart
So carefully laid before me
Exemplified, by the curve of your fingers in the depths of my palm
I cared not to know the exact hour,
Or even when I would reach my destination
Where, when, and why
Such a waste of my time on wonder
When I’ve got comfort in this present moment.
I’d erase the years before and after,
To hang in this medium
To mature while the time passes,
So as to procure something radiant when the light comes back.
A second later, or a year, or two…
Daylight would save me.
So, I missed the sunrise.
But time led me back to you.

To hang in this medium
To mature while the time passes,
So as to procure something radiant when the light comes back.
A second later, or a year, or two…
Daylight would save me.
So, I missed the sunrise.
But time led me back to you.

I like that part most :)

WOW!!

I lay here, sleepy breaths
