i heard a lot of stories about datura and i was wondering if a person had been cool with acid and shrooms can he flip out on datura in terms of scareness????
 
i have been trying to find datura seeds for ages after reading the reports on erowid but i have never had any luck so far no garden shops in the UK seem to stock datura even terrance mckenna said that datura is powerfull shit i mean seeing people who are not there, smoking joints etc that are not there WTF!!! this stuff sounds the don of trips!
I am still hunting it down i know it will come to me one day but it seems quite hard to locate!

Yeah unfortunately you don't really realize that you're tripping while all of this is happening which can be rather confusing. You just think you're having a nice boring ordinary day while in all actuality you're acting like a completely fucked up person.

if yes what was it like?
is it in the same kinda way as salvia in you dont realise how wrecked you are till you start to get a grip back on reality then you look back at what just went on and think ow my god!?.....
is it possible to OD on datura?....

i dont see why the hell sombody would want to take somthin like this,YOU DONT KNOW YOUR FUCKED UP!!..so how could you possibly have any fun with it.
you dont trip, it makes you "delusional",you dont see any "cool" paterns,or tracers,no euphoria.
and you do know you will prob feel like shit for a week or longer after the affects are gone.

Yea Datura is great fun especially when you combine it with Dramamine!!!! Personally when I take that combo I enjoy speeding around on my motorcycle. Driving any vehicle while on Datura is a joyful expierance.... ;)
 
Unless you know what you are doing i strongly discourage the use of datura, and even if you know what you are doing i would stay the fuck away from it.
Its not the "don" of pshycadelics, have you read any of the trip reports on it? Do so and then think really hard about what you might be getting into when trying this stuff...
 
When I tripped on Datura 6 of my friends ended up in coma in the hospital, & I was very lucky that I had good friends taking care of me.
I dont remember much of it, apparently I was just in a whole different reality, my friends would tell me that a frined that doesnt even live in the same country was her so we had to leave, I would have done anything!!
I was fine the next day, my vision was a bit blurry but nothing more than that. It was pure luck that I wasnt the 7th person in hosptal that night, it has really damaged a few of those people made them almost a bit retarded.
So kids, the moral of the story is dont bother, its very hard to measure a dosage & even if you do get it right as someone mentioned its not euphoric.

if you still think datura is cool for it's ultra real visuals and for the high, i suggest doing some Dimenhydrinate first. Pretty much the same affects but safer. From what I have gathered, Datura is more dangerous. Doses aren't known that well. At least with Dimenhydrinate, there are lots of reports on it and there are reccomended dosages. As with plants, you dont know how much you are getting.

I've never tried Datura before. My sole experience with deleriants was after about 3 days of partying on quite a few substances I decided to get some sleep. Couldn't sleep, had a couple dramamine (could've been benadryl, it was some sort of OTC drug of that sort), still couldn't sleep, had a few more, and this continued on until I had taken a few too many and I started to have these really strange realistic hallucinations out of the corners of my eye. The oddest thing is that normally when I experience visuals/hallucinations I'm just a passive observer. I could actually interact with these things, which started to convince me that they were actually real things. Thankfully a friend brought benzos over so I could just knock myself out. The next day after plenty of sleep I feel like total shit, which could probably be attributed to all the other drugs I had done beforehand, but I'm sure the Benadryl didn't help. I had the dryest mouth in the entire world as well.
Anyways, I don't think it's comparable at all to Salvia. I always know (at least in the back of my mind) that I've taken Salvia when I'm on it. Taking Datura (or any other anticholinergenic deleriants) is kind of like deciding to go totally insane for awhile. Insane people don't realize they're insane and neither do people on these type of drugs. Some people actually like this sort of thing, but I'd say they are the exception rather than the rule. I recommend you do some further reading here:

And pay some special attention to the experience reports. You'll notice the number of "Difficult Experiences" is almost equal to the number of "First Times". Here's a little quote from one that I particularly enjoyed:
"He drove off and doesn't know where he was heading, but ended up running his mom's brand new audi into a tree at some apartment complex. He was still functional enough to realize that he knew someone who lived in the area and went to her house... When she opened the door he was babbling about nothing at all and just running off at the mouth. Girl was a friend and loaded him into her car and took him to his house and dropped him off in the street. He walked inside his house (maybe 1.5-1.75 hours after eating) and goes into his room, gets his boombox and goes to the bathroom to take a shower. Strips down naked, gets in shower, no water.. gets out takes radio downstairs (still stark naked) and starts cleaning.. moving furniture and dusting etc... While his mom is sitting in the room trying to watch TV. She asks him what the hell he thinks he's doing... He replies, 'Goddammit Mom! Leave me alone, can't you see i'm trying to take a shower!! DAMN!' then starts babbling again..."

I'm trying to be as impartial as possible here, as some people actually LIKE these sort of experiences, but I can't say that I could recommend Datura to anyone that I didn't hate with all my heart and soul.
