Dark Side of The Moon appreciation thread

No, they brought it someone based on the producer, Alan Parson's, recommendation. Having worked with her before he thought she would do a great job and she did.

Oh really, yeah I don't know where I heard that at then but figures it's too epic to be true, thanks for providing the facts my man
But fuck yeah she did a great job

I don't think I've ever seen that documentary before though, I'll check it out

Here is a cool PF wallpaper

has to be one of the greatest albums of all time.

have you guys heard the reggae stylee band called 'Easy star all stars'?

its fucking excellent.

easy star all stars - time

Pink Floyd is just the best band in the world.

Period.

The pinnacle of all human achievement if you ask me.
Even Final Cut, Division Bell, Wet Dream, The whole shebang.

NOTHING they do can be touched and anyone...anyone...
who says otherwise is blowing smoke out their fing asshole.

Just listen to this try not to get a contact high:

But, seriously, I never liked the singing on Great Gig in the Sky.
Or the way people fell all over themselves praising this album.

It's good, don't get me wrong...but the 'second side' of Ummagumma is 10x trippier.
And blah blah blah blah blah....it's a decent album though.
When I first heard it I'm sure I thought it was all that and a can of beans, too.
Except for that God awful caterwauling on great Gig.

There's even an instrumental version floating around out there somewhere...

although my favourite single song/track is shine on you crazy diamond, dsotm is my favourite album of any band as a whole. it deserves the hype, completely.

The perfect album, but so easy to get burned out on. Especially Money which seems to get played all the time on the radio.

Too bad about Waters massive ego I enjoy Gilmours adult contemporary style of music but it's just not the same without the bleak depressive anger of Waters.

While Comfortably Numb is my favorite PF song DSotM is easily my favorite album. The way Any Color You Like blends in to Brain Damage is still pretty cool to me

<3 All of this just made me very happy :) i hate it when the 20 somethings are like "who's pink floyd" and then i feel old, but it's not like i didn't listen to it when i was in highschool in the early 90's. maybe it's not cool anymore to look backward in time for music you haven't heard before. lame. certain things are timeless

There are two types of people my friend, those who think Pink Floyd is better than The Beatles and those who don't

You don't
