Heroin Dark blood and bright blood from same vein

darker blood flows in your veins

lighter red flows in your arteries.

this happens to me too. When I am not hydrated, I can maybe suck a little bit of thick, dark (very dark) blood into the bottom of the rig. When I am hydrated, it blossoms up into the familiar bright red lilly in the barrel. If you hit an artery, it will be frothy red and will likely squirt into the barrel with some force, possibly enough to push the plunger out.

this is a probably a fact that goes without stating, but isn't it that if you're dehydrated the bloods going to be thicker & darker? anyway my main that i hit sometimes on a daily has a pulse in it, i just checked. but clearly it's not an artery since I'm not dead yet lol. and i've never really had a problem, so it seems that Ayrios is correct here; unless I'm somehow scary-close to an artery I should have hit long ago. & in that case I'm re-locating to it's neighboring vein I use when that one's out of commission. interesting info tho ! and I'm almost positive I've hit an artery before, young and unaware what was going on I was calm, though the person that was hitting me freaked out that the blood pushed the plunger back due to it plummeting into the syringe which I could only guess was an artery he nicked so FYI for those reading..

You would KNOW if you hit an artery. I have done it a few times and it is absolutely excruciating. From experiencing that, I always, after registering, inject just a tiny bit and wait to see how it feels before pushing in the whole shot. Blurrxx, if you "think" you hit an artery, you probably didn't. Lightning pain and swelling for days... *cringe*

According to various people and the Harm Reduction Coalition, dark, slow-moving blood should be a vein; bright red, gushing blood - an artery. Hitting the same vein? Sounds weird... how often has this happened? Be careful...

This is correct. Bright Red frothy blood in an Artery.
Dark Red blood is a vein.
The reason you think you are seeing it from the same vein is because you probably pushed the needle through one or the other. There is no way possible for these types of blood to come from the same vein/artery. You are just pushing the needle into a vein or art and pushing it out the other side into a art/vein. Hope this helps
