Opioids Dangers of IVing into the same vein

I have a strong preference towards IVing into the vein inside the crook of my right elbow towards the outside of my arm. There's one vein there that i never miss, and is very easy for me to hit. However, i know i cannot hit this vein every time. I would like to know if anyone knows the risks of hitting the same vein over and over, day in and day out. Now, besides for the obvious scaring, what are the major risks with doing so??

it could collapse after some time and be useless as far iving goes. i always hit veins in my left arm or hand, but i have pretty good veins to begin with so i had a few sites to work with.

The risk is eventually that vein is going to collapse.

it will collapse. you can also build up mass scare tissue by using the same area over and over before it heals. scare tissue can completely clot damaged veins, it can restrict and pull them down but more over damaged tissue can also lock up nerves. like the median and ulnar nerves that run trough out your arms, a compressed nerve can create permanent damage of function in the hand/arm. carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome. you also run the risk of getting a infection in the area of repeated use in giving it no time to heal.

take some time and find several different sites that you can move around from before you know it it will be like clock work. take care of those sites by keeping them clean, vitamin E and or some neosporin and they will heal as you rotate.
