Hey do Roland make TVs? 'cos I wouldn't mind one if there are any there... otherwise bugger it, its no biggie...

Tars you got a spare TV? cos I got the stickers (as long as the TV's 909 bone-white).
We'll call it the TV-404 (no relation to the MS404 or TS404)
Teehee...

Then we need a couch... A Roland vintage couch from the mid 80's... Teehee...
With shag pile pillows...

NOW BACK TO GEAR!!!!!
I was wondering if any of you use the MPC2000. If you do, can u tell me if it has the ability to playbak samples by note or is it just a phrase sampler and can only be pitch-shifted? Or have i lost the plot?
------------------
Its my duty to please you're booty

As far as i know its a drum sampler, meaning u assign samples to pads, and each pad can be a different pitch, uhmm...it can sequence outboard gear properly, but i know u can't say, plug a midi keyboadr in and play it like a normal sampler......
I think my next port of call would be to hook up wiff a mpc2000 or an a4000...
fuck...
took out the rm1x to play friday...was sweet n all except a mixer channel and aboiut 4 or 5 cables decided they were going to start cutting out...and i wiere my efx unit backwardss
frown.gif

bah
hey komplex, that rm1x has its screws loose, now all the preset patterns voices are fucked!!! i think i mite have to save my songs to disk and do a factory reset thing...

Bro, if ure slavin it to the 505, it might be the 505 thats fucking with the voices!.
Hehe.
Roland vs Yamaha, they'll never agree on anythin will they?
Thats cool if the mpc is just a drum sampler cus i already got my trusty es-1 for that, Looks like i need to get my self a a4000, but i dunno, the emu samplers have wiked filters n shit. I need to rob a bank as well!

i heard the emu emax 1 or 2..can't remember which ( i read it on harmony central... ) had these wikked filters that were anlaogue...and like ppl buy em for the filter....hmm JOHN BOY SELL ME UR EMAX...actually SELL ME YOUR S-50

Hmm, interesting philosophy u get there.
U can count on emu's to have good filters thats why im thinkin of gettin one. I like the yamaha interface tho but aparently emu's are even more user friendly.
Either way, for a seperate filter i'd like to get one of those waldorf 4 poles i think, its like just a filter box with resonant lowpass filters and shit, altho id want more filters than those cus u can exaclty create new sounds with by using low pass and resonance. I want filters that can mangle sounds beyond recognition so i can create new sounds out of existing ones, and im led to believe that emu have the goods in that department

I WANT GEAR MONEY!!!

No, not a Su700 but a Su200 Serotone. The Su200 is a sweet ass little machine!!!
smile.gif
Load in a sample, sequence it, play it then EFX it!!!!
smile.gif
smile.gif

Su700 is similar but more complicated, I have read a lot of people having hardware crashes on this thing and a lot of bugs while programming it. I played more on the Su200 and was going to buy one a while back, but Alas I got there too late and my friend had already sold it.
I have been told to get the Su200 instead of a Su700.
One guy mentioned that for him a Rm1X and a Su200 is all he needs.
smile.gif

Each to their own, but thats what I have heard/read and experienced.

*KompleX wanders in onto the conversation and stiks his head into the circle*
"the es-1 shits over the su-200"
The su-700 has more features and more tracks etc than a su-200 but its also more expensive, and its still just a phrase sampler. the su-7-hunred is expandable too.
My rm1x shits me off with the lag when changing styles, i thaught i had it covered up a bit with the way i incorporate the es-1, but if i do it like that all the time i loose the flow and the energy and the vibe, It really started to shit me the other day when i wanted to make smooooooth transitions between trax, at the moment im quite pissed of with it, cus its such a good live performance sequencer but its all useless for live work when it lags like that. Maybe if i could buy/build a midi clock generator and have that control the clock, it might smooth it out, sum guy on the rm1x board wrote about that in a post a few months and said it helped. But i think that i would have to get another groove box or sumthin to mix to while changin styles on the rm1x. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK this is shittin me, u guys wouldnt understand how fuked up this

I think BuckE was saying he had an su200 and he loves it. Didn't say anything about the su700 tho...
Now, are we all still up for a jam? My parents have left so I can have some people over to my parents place, but they've got a guy looking after the house for them, so I have to let him know when I need the house. My parents are coming back at the end of January, so we'd have to do it sometime b4, I was thinking around the fortnight of the 8th to the 21st. If ya still wanna do it, lemme know what day would be best and we'll get it organised...

i forgot what i was gonna write...............
OH YEAH!!!
