Hey all, sorry if this has been answered already I did a search but couldn't find enough info.

Well I got a bag last night about .6 and smoked mayb jus over .2 it was fine not wet at all.

Have a nice bit left but when I took out a small piece from the bag just an hour ago the gear looked damp and of course the first couple of lines sizzled until the beetle took form and it ran fine then. I have took the rest out of the bag and left it sitting on a piece of card - can I put it in the microwave for 10 or 15 seconds to dry it out or will this destroy it? 9 times out of 10 I wouldn't ask this question I would just run the dampness out of it and sizzle a couple of lines, but I'm not sick today so can afford the luxury of attempting to dry it a little.

Any advice would be great, thanks in advance

Also it's not wild damp just slightly

I heated a plate in the microwave and put the gear on that then I put the plate into the oven at 50c but I got scared that it would get damaged so didn't leave it in the oven for more than a minute.. It did seem to help a bit there wasn't as much sizzle the next time.

It's not the cut in it causing the sizzling though backroll because it ran without any problem last night, it just got slightly damp because of how it was stored overnight.. Anyway it's fine now guys it's running smooth as you like cheers!

but the bag had been all tightly wrapped up when you bought it, then you opened it and it got exposed after opening it, no matter how tight you wrapped it after it has still been exposed to the atmosphere for long enough to react...gear dont sizzle...oh i dont know, aint used in half a year, out-the-game, what do I know? :?

i have had damp packages where the runner hasn't sealed it properly n it's got wet in his mouth nice i know . :\

Just let it dry naturally don't be putting gear in a fukin microwave

Tht's what happened Brimz I walked about two miles with it in my mouth but was sure it was sealed properly, anyway it's long gone now

Yeah but it would have been exposed to the atmosphere before it was bagged and given to me too I'd say?.
