Opioids Damn tolerance is way too high...Advice please

Been using opiates for last five years. Started using 30mg Oxy about a year ago. Need hip replaced after motorcycle accident. Problem is, it takes 4 or 5 for me to feel anything. Tried to cool off with Suboxone, but couldn't last. Can step up to H, but I feel like there may be other pharma's I can try first. Any suggestions?

If you get into more powerful opiates, it doesn't matter if its heroin or more powerful pharm opiates, they will still do the same thing...and that is increase your tolerance even more.

You have to take a break to reduce your tolerance, taking more opiates won't do it.

Thanks Tripman,

Fents are awesome, except pretty hard to find for me. I keep my shit low key. Gonna ask the Dr about Opana next visit. He knows I have been complaining about increased pain. Been at 120mg per day for 2 years. He is afraid to raise me. May have to find a new Dr. And for what it's worth, I don't think MSContin is stronger than Oxy HCL. Just my opinion. And Bupe shouldn't be on the list. it's a partial antagonist.
 
I was mentioning them in terms of their pain relieving effects. I know Buprenorphine is only a partial Mu agonist. Mixed with a few other things it can certainly feel like a full agonist with a loooong half life.

And morphine on that list I am mentioning with an IM or IV route of administration.

Seriously though, it is a long slippery slope. Getting stronger pain killers will just increase your tolerance and eventually you'll be fucked with no options.

Imo, morphine has better legs than oxy & its a smoother high.
 
Either way, opiate tolerance is just horrible. At one point, my tolerance was really high after about 5 years of daily use. I cleaned up and was sober for 18 months from everything. At first, my tolerance seemed extremely low once I relapsed. But even after 18 months of not using, it only took me about 1-2 weeks to find myself back at the same huge tolerance I left off at.
 
Yeah, my tolerance skyrockets after a tolerance-break, I think it has something to do with the body "picking up where it left off" so to speak.

The first day or two I'm so pleased with how well it's working, and then maybe a week or so later I'm right back at square one. There's no winning. Benzo tolerance treats me the same way if I over do it. Start with 1 again, then 2, then 3, etc.
