Freddy Sharp, a drug addict since the age of 13, describes his overdose on bath salts as being the ‘evilest thing imaginable.’ A shocking video of Sharp after taking the potent drug shows him writhing on the floor then making faces and singing to himself as he is strapped down by paramedics. 'You know where you're at?' a paramedic asks. He is unable to answer.

Bath salts is the same drug that the 'Miami cannibal', Rudy Eugene, is thought to have been on when he chewed the face off a homeless man last month. The horrific18-minute attack only ended when police shot Eugene dead. Having survived the overdose Sharp, 27, of Tennessee, told CNN that he was hallucinating about being in a mental hospital and being possessed by Jason Voorhees – the hockey mask wearing serial killer from the Friday the 13th movies. Admitting to being on drugs since he was 13 or 14-years-old, Sharp said that he’d ‘never experience anything like’ overdosing on bath salts.

I love how they can phrase that as 'is thought to have been on' to get around the fact that they're basically making it up. What sensationalist bullshit.

Yes we are, but I'm pretty sure we are the only ones. The media has decided it was bath salts so it's bath salts.

edit: Anyway, with all this stuff coming out I'm wondering if this is a media-effect (one crazy bath salt cannibal story happens so they put everything related on the front page whereas they would ignore it elsewise) or if there's actually a batch of some fucked up RC doing the rounds ..

^Even if it comes up negative, they will still say they think he was on bath salts. Considering that many bath salts do not label their ingredients and there are many different substances used, the police and media will simply say, we are not sure which bath salt is the one that turns people into cannibals, so we have to just assume they all do. And I'm not sure how different a toxicology report is from a drug test, but unless a toxicology report can test for specific drugs instead of just categories, most bath salts would just show up as an amphetamine if they show up at all.

wow bristol youve lost it! I live just across the border in Va and have not even heard of this. Crazy how ive heard about my little mountain town more from bluelight in the past 6 months then i have on the local news station.

Id be so happy if they just made the drugs of old legal so that people stop taking this stupid shit. Id bet noone would buy this crap (ie "bath salts") if they could buy cocaine just as easily.
