A thug high on cannabis ripped a veil off the face of a Muslim woman in a violent unprovoked rage because the movie he wanted to see was not being shown, a court heard today.

Ian Brazier, 26, tore off 26-year-old Farhana Chughtai's Niqab in the middle of a busy shopping centre in Solihull, West Mids. in front of her shocked family.

Brazier today pleaded guilty to one charge of racially aggravated common assault by beating at Solihull Magistrates Court - and is facing a maximum sentence of two years in prison.

yawn. So if she was an English woman with no niqab the sentence would have been less? Because it wasn't racially motivated? heh.

Smoking weed doesnt make people agro, but some people who smoke weed are agro to begin with. Its not all peace loving hippy shit i guess.
 
Yeah, I don't agree with the racially motivated aspect of this.
There is nothing to suggest that he has something against the race of that woman.
It states in the article "Brazier became angry and directed his anger towards the first person he saw, who happened to be Miss Chughtai."

The guy is definitely an idiot, and deserves some kind of punishment, but this is just regular assault.
 
Never heard of weed making anyone angry or violent. Clearly other issues at hand. Severe anger management sounds like a fair punishment, 2 years for loosing your cool doesnt seem to fit the crime. Sure it was wrong and rude but there was no real violence or physical injury involved.
 
Say that to the family of the women he technically deflowered by ripping off her veil. Hed be dead in Iranipakiwhateverstan.
