D-amphetamine Ritalin Rxing in NZ OZ

According to the figures i'v read~6000 people are Rxed these stims with near most going to kids on Ritalin. the number on Dexamphetamine is~300 only mostly with older adults-for Narcolepsy so this pharm made speed is quite rare and so has a high street valueof $x ech and up, and is seen only now and then, i heard of a dude who on close to 500 tabs month, been taking it for 18 years but sells the tabs worth~$xxx and buys meth NZ has a real problem with 'adult ADD/HD' and it's rare for adults to be Rxed these.8)

I was given MPD for four years and after 3 was Rxed D-amp 20mg daily (for 1 month only till my GP freaked out and changed back) I found it easier to use and superior in many areas. I had to go to 5 pharmacies to get it and they didn't have enought. I spoke to some senior pharmacists who had NEVER dispensed it before.

Isn't D-amp Rxed much more in Oz? why?8)

Yer my bad for that, your bad for thinking it's me i'm refering to as selling Dex, thats highly illegal with heavy fines and jail time-stoopid, but it just amazes me what some people i'v met are Rx-looking like they do (tats on hands, sunken cheeks) and how careless some people are. I'd be far to paranoid to sell Sch 8 pills, paranoid=poor quality of life.

I guess many people arn't as lawfull as me.

Just a post about NZs amphetamine phobia, medical or rightly so illicit. and OZs different pattens i'v read and wondered about.

Yes amphetamines are more widely prescribed here, but the point isn't about that. If you required stimulants for your condition, surely a psychiatrist would judge that and prescribe appropriately. I do know one doctor here who specializes in giving people amp for their ADD/HD.

Seeing as appointments with these kinds of private specialists are extremely expensive (far more so than the meds themselves). You would want to have a bit of cash in the bank.

Yes only an expensive private visit got me the one month Dex trial.

Another thing is ONLY a psychiatrist or internal med Doc can initiate Dexamphetamine Rxing here, but ANY Doc~GP whos employed by a hospice can initiate MPD to buck up their elderly patients, despite their same Sch

^Here in AU the laws are very much the same, we have a much higher population than you. Dexamphetamine is not just handed out to every one who 'asks' for it.

As stated expensive specialist psychiatrists are the only people here who prescribe it as a general rule. I'd believe, as with other S. 8 medications here, a GP can prescribe up to 1 months supply before applying for a permit to continue supply - this is the law with Oxycodone, Morphine etc. So i'm pretty sure it would apply to other S8s aswell. I however am yet to see a GP supply d-amp.

Norvatis-Ciba conned the world into buyingg into ADD/ to hawk off the Ritalin after it wasn't allowed to be pushed on 'tired' 'mildly depressed' patients anymore as it was tightly scheduled along with amphetamines into Sch ll status.

Ive been scripted ritalin for about a month now, and really I dont see what the fuss is about. I can controll myself just fine, I can get how some people might not be able to though.
Tolerance does build rather quickly and I can see how some weaker minded individuals might try and fight through this with increased dosages.

I Was diagnosed as an adult just recently, and was scripted ritalin with barely any mention of dex. However, I wasnt pushing one chem in particular unlike most people who go in looking for some dex.

Also, the potential market for these stimulants is incridible. I'm not by any means saying that I profit from my script, just that the demand for reliable stimulants is insane. People hate getting ripped off and at least with pharms, you know what your getting and this makes it even more desirable, that and the fact that they can be a hellova lot of fun. I personally preffer both ritalin or dex to street amphetamines on any day.

OP was bitching about pharmacies not stocking his stims.

I can confirm that I also have had trouble trying to fill my prescription. I went to a handfull of pharmacies around the city, none of which had it in stock some hadn't ever dispensed it before. Both times that I have tried to fill a ritalin script, I've had to do a call around to a list of pharmacies trying to find one that has enough in stock. This if anything, is an indicator to me that ritalin at least, isnt as over prescribed as some people might think.

ps. It took me 3 months of fucking around with appointments with 4 differant medical proffessionals to get diagnosed and I have legitimate ADHD and symptoms to boot, no one ever doubted my condition for a second but I had to jump through the hoops regardless (inclusive of a very short period on the SSRI Lexapro, which I can safely say is hell on earth).
