Cyproheptadine + clonidine blocks effect of stimulant? (methylphenidate)

Last night I took 16 mg cyproheptadine and 0.225mg clonidine. Today I disolved 20mg methylphenidate in 20 mL water and plugged it at 2:00 PM. I was still a bit tired and light headed. Aside from a very dry mouth I experienced no effect from the methylphenidate. Neither did my heartrate increase.

Could it be because of the cyproheptadine and clonidine? I believe cyproheptadine blocks dopamine receptors to some extend and clonidine reduces nor-adrenaline?

Clonidine is an alpha2 agonist which means that it will decrease the levels of norepinephrine (aka noradrenaline), which is the main chemical released when methylphenidate is administered.

Cyproheptadine inhibits reuptake transporters of dopamine and norepinephrine, so it blocks NET(to some extent), which actually runs counter to your argument.
