Cymbalta (Duloxetine)

About 15 years ago, I was going through a depressive phase and I was really in a terrible mood. My psychiatrist noticed this during a visit and prescribed it to me.

I have to say that I noticed a huge improvement in my condition the very next day. I was able to say “good morning” at work without any worries again, which had been very difficult for me before.

I continued taking it for another 12 years because I thought I would become depressed again without it.

However, in the meantime (12 years), I gained a lot of weight. The worst part was that I eventually developed diabetes as well. But I didn’t know that the diabetes was caused by Cymbalta.

Since I was 60 years old at the time, I started thinking about my medication use and wanted to stop taking a lot of them. So I gradually stopped taking Cymbalta.

Suddenly, my diabetes was gone, and I lost a lot of weight.

But I have to say that Cymbalta really helped me back then. It basically saved my life.
