Cyclobenaprine (flexeril) Not a Benzo

I would recommend anywhere from 10-30mg if you're starting out and just see what dosage suits your preference :)

Note: Don't snort that shit, it'll burn like hell or taste like shit!

Cyclobenzaprine...... Because i know how people love to correct........
You are correct, it is not a benzodiazepine or even a GABA agonist at all. Chemically and pharmacologically, it would be grouped with the tricyclic antidepressants. It works by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine as well as blocking histamine and muscarinic acetylcholine receptors. It's prescribed as a muscle relaxer.

What would be a good recreational dosage if any for this medication.
It's not really a recreational drug in my opinion. It most likely will just make you feel sleepy like anti-histamines do. I find it to be an effective sleep aid in the 10-30 mg dose range, although it can be hard to get out of bed the following morning (most sedating anti-histamine like drugs leave a groggy feeling in the morning). Some people find cyclobenzeprine to produce an uncomfortable feeling though, so you may want to start with a low dose. I wouldn't pay for them, but I would accept them if given to me, just to keep on hand for when I'm having trouble sleeping.

good luck.

A little question: as amitriptyline is close to cyclobenzaprine in its structure, would amitriptyline possess to a certain degree some muscle relaxant properties too?

Actually I believe it does. I have heard of people being on amitriptyline for pain management.. specifically for muscular pain and for sleep aid. Probably for other things as well.

I'm on amitriptyline for neuropathic pain, it does help with sleep however when I take just 25mg at night I usually end up sleeping for a good 12-13 hours, waking up at 2 in the fucking afternoon. But it does help with pain and muscle relaxing to a certain degree.

^I left out neuropathic pain.. lol I sleep for 10 hours when I finally do fall asleep.. it's like BAM. I'd rather not but I can't help it.

I was given amitryptaline as a kid when scripted ritalin for sleep. I don't remember any numbness, but I dont think I was on it long. I may have been in the 3rd or 4th grade then... Goddamn that psychiatrist was such a fucking idiot.

It deff has an effect, when I take one I feel I sweat a lot less. Other than that I don't feel it strongly unless I take it with an opiate or valium.
