For completeness sake let us discuss the anticholinergic / antihistaminergic deliriant cyclizine.

Structure reminds me of desoxypipradrol but they probably couldn't be more different... apart from the similarly long duration of action.

I think I turned a car ride into a pretty vague state of being once after having taken this drug for motion sickness. But I don't really remember a lot about it...
What are your experiences?

A very effective sedative IMO. I have used it a couple of times in the past to counteract motion sickness, but have gotten all too sleepy :D

I have read a lot about people trying to get high of them in high doses having very unpleasant effects like delerium.

It is an extremely good opiate potentiator, which increases the euphoria drastically (especially when IV'd) when mixed with any opiate. It has the plus side of being an anti-emetic and an antihistamine therefore reducing the itchiness associated with codeine based opiates like oxycodone and hydrocodone and to some extent morphine derivatives too.
I personally would never use it as a deliriant as I use it to potentiate my Oxys as well as having a script due to my IBS which makes me sick often and it would be a waste of stuff that's practically gold dust.
However, a lot of formulations form a gel-like substance when mixed with water and can be effectively plugged, however, it should in no circumstances can it be IV'd. I also don't recommend shooting pills when you already have 3 holes already available without needing to make a new one and putting talc into you're lungs.
It can produce reasonably good hallucinations in near-deliriant doses when mixed with opiates but BE CAREFUL and scale down your dose of opiates or an you might end up inadvertently overdosing.

Good thread, something that needs more discussion from experienced users of the drug for all aspects and its a shame this doesn't have more hits.
peace

I agree, be careful with that.

The mechanism behind that I guess is that medications such as these (but many others as well) occupy the enzymes responsible for breaking down such drugs as opiates. That can be a good thing if the drug you take is the nicer one (IMO with oxy that is true because the metabolites that you feel later in the oxy experience suck by comparison) but I would not do this with something like codeine because that metabolizes to morphine which is probably superior.

Apart from being an anti-emetic, does it change the experience? Making it more wobbly or dreamy or weird, etc?

Personally I like the itch by the way. Although it was better when I was more opiate-naieve.
