Opioids CWE solution snorting

Hi this is my first post as I have been able to find answers to all my drug related questions on Google/Bluelight.

I would like to know if snorting a solution of any drug, water, and salt would be at least in the slightest bit more effective than if drunken. More specifically for a CWE of codeine, oxy or hydro. I do not know whether the bioavaliability for snorting any of these pure is greater than swallowing. But theoretically, if the bioavaliabilty were to be higher for snorting, could one be able to snort a solution to acheive a greater high, although i know that most of the solution would end up in the stomach regardless. I think it is reasonable that a solution of medium/high concentration of an opiate or other drug could be snorted and partially absorbed through the nasal membranes.

Basically any info on absorbing solutions through the nose could be useful.
Thanks

A CWE won't remove all of the apap and for oxy and hydro oral has a higher BA. I'm not sure about codeine's intranasal ba, and based on it's method of action I'm not sure why you'd want to snort it?

Check the bioavailability thread for the % numbers. The link can be found in the OD Directory.

You can definitely snort a solution; waterlining tar heroin (cooking the heroin in water and snorting the solution) is a fairly common and somewhat effective practice. The amount of water used in waterlining heroin, however, is much less than in a CWE. Snorting the amount of liquid you'd probably produce would just lead to it all going down your throat, you are correct it would mostly end up in your stomach.

I'd also keep in mind that a CWE isn't 100% perfect, so you may also be snorting acetaminophen or some such. I don't think the negligible difference would be worth the trouble.

I know hydrocodone's effects are believed to be primarily from its conversion to hydromorphone by the liver, and oxycodone and codeine behave in similar manners. I also believe snorting them would reduce the amount of drug metabolized by the liver (maybe?), which may actually dampen the effects

You can't snort codeine. Well, you can, but it's pointless. It needs to be converted by your liver into morphine first before it's active.

And for other compounds, it depends on their individual BA. A nasal solution might have a higher BA then snorting powder, but for some substances there is little if any difference between oral and nasal BA. Best idea is to look up the BA's on here, in the mega BA thread, and find out for yourself if it is worth it for the substance in question.
