CWE Right Upper Quadrant Pain

Hi,
Earlier today performed a CWE on 48 15/500 codeine/paracetamol pills, with about 200 ml water, of which I consumed about 100 ml, i guess at roughly 20 deg, filtered using aeropress to nearly clear, very faintly cloudy liquid. This was about 9 hours ago. Did the same, about 5 days ago and got right upper quadrant pain which resolved after about 12 hours with no other symptoms. Was very hungover this morning. Right upper quadrant pain started within a couple hours of taking the codeine. & currently feeling nausea. Should I go to the hosiptal to get NAC? Don't want to do this but worried about my liver.

Thanks

There's no way for us to diagnose us through the internet, so recommend you get checked by a doctor ASAP. Better safe than sorry.

Symptoms tend to take a while to manifest with paracetamol (APAP) overdose, however since such a large amount of paracetamol would be involved if you did something wrong with the CWE, it would be advisable to get it checked out ASAP as nAON mentioned.

Be safe :)

If you are worried about the health of your liver, I would go to the hospital and get tests run as nAON suggested. Jesusgreen has a point though, it can take a little while before APAP overdose symptoms start to make themselves known.

I mean, what do you have to lose? (besides your liver if it is something serious.)

200mL of water is definitely too much to use for 48 pills, that's double the amount you need so I would recommend getting your liver checked out. You're probably fine, I don't think more than 2,000mg of APAP can dissolve in 200mL of water but there's always the risk that you did something horribly wrong with the extraction or squeezed the filter too much. But go get checked out anyway, like Oxide said, what do you have to lose? And in the future, don't go over 2mL of water per pill. Codeine is extremely water soluble, using more than that is not going to increase the amount of Codeine dissolved, only the APAP.
