Opioids CWE not working on Napacod

Good day Bluelighters,

So my goldfish decided to try its hand at CWE. Got some Adco-Napacod OTC (500mg Paracetamol/10mg Codeiene)

It did the CWE as per all the threads:
1. Crushed approx 10 pills, mixed with luke warm water until dissolved.
2. Mixure went into the freezer for 20 mins
3. Filtered through coffee filters 3 times until no more residue on the filter. (The filters was soaked in water first)
4. Drank the mixture.

After about 2 hours, no noticable effect was felt. My goldfish got really irritated, and ate 4 tablets, and a slight buzz was reported after 20 mins. WTF?

I have never heard of a CWE reducing the effects of the opiods. Is it the tablets? (Napacod is sold in South Africa) Did i do something wrong?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't say SWIM or "goldfish" or whatever else on BL, offers no legal protection and just makes posts confusing.

Anyhow, i don't see how that CWE didn't work, seems fine to me, might wanna try using slightly cooler water, just like room temp, since the only thing i can see going wrong is that too hot of water might destroy the active opiate in the pills.

Other than that, messing with pills no matter what always carries the risk of loss of potency, but still you seemed to be doing the right thing.

I found that to extract the codeine from combination tablets effectively, it is necessary to leave it soaking with intermittent stiring for a couple of hours. I have also had success with using warm water, cooling it in the freezer, heating it up again and cooling a couple more times. With the popular method that you have employed here I found that the yield was terrible and I could cwe the powder twice more and get bigger amounts, its as if the codeine or whatever opioid needs a lot of time and agitation to fall out of the powder and into solution.

Based on my findings with many CWE's, it is my opinion that many people are getting a very minimal yield and just simply wasting their drugs.
