Hello all,

I may be obtaining a considerable amount of Hydrocodone in liquid form. I believe it will be 7.5 mg Hydrocodone/500 mg acetaminophen per ml. I have done many CWE's on Hydrocodone in pill form, but can the same process be done in it's liquid form?

I see no apparent issues but as it is very expensive I would like to know for sure!

Thanks

How would you go about doing it? You assume if you add water and chill the mixture that the apap will separate and be able to be removed somehow? I'm sure there's probably a way to do it but I don't see how it could be like a normal cwe with pills

The process would not be known as coldwater extraction, it would be known as fractional crystallisation.

What you want to do is make it so there's more acetaminophen in the solution than you can dissolve at 5C. Then when you cool it down, the acetaminophen will turn to a solid and come crashing out.

1. Reduce the volume of your solution by boiling it gently (preferably on a double boiler). Bring it down to 10 to 50mg hydrocodone/ml, something like that.
2. Let it cool to room temperature.
3. Put it in your fridge for a bit.

You'll notice a white precipitate of acetaminophen - filter it off and the resulting liquid should be very rich in hydrocodone.

But make sure you know the resulting potency and measure the apap afterwards, otherwise you could possibly OD on either the hydro or the apap... Be careful. Sekios plan would work though, just wanted to add some safety warning.

Thanks Sekio, that was very helpful. I'm guessing there's a thread for this so I'll google/search it for more info. Definitely sounds easy to fuck up so I'll have to be pretty confident before I mess around with it. Should I just wait for the acetaminophen to dry and then measure it with a mg scale? Definitely don't want to OD on that... wouldn't mind over-doing it a bit on the hydrocodone, however :)
