so ive had this killer toothache (and I mean killer) for a few days now and the dentists are closed until monday. ive been taking various painkillers but have moved to zapain 30/500 codeine phosphate/acetaminophen tabs. I was with my mum earlier and decided I would do a cold water extraction with 8 of the pills. I believe what I have done is correct but don't want to risk a big paracetamol overdose and fuck my liver up. so come here to make sure all is well and dandy (I have done this so I can ease the pain without having to wait 6 hours to take each pill)

1. crushed 8 30mg codeine pills (240mg codeine)
2. added the crushed pills to about 120ml of luke warm water, stirred until pills dissolved and solution cloudy.
3. left the solution in the freezer for about 40 mins till cool
4. stained the solution through a wet coffee filter in a funnel. leaving to drip though.
5. left inside the coffee filter was the paracetamol (a fair bit), this was discarded. remaining solution murky but see through.
6. got a fresh coffee filter, wet it again and strained though twice.
7. the solution is clear now, I had a taste and a bit sweet and a bit bitter (I suspect this is the codeine and the caffeine)

if this is right then ill proceed to ease my pain with it over the rest of the night/tomorrow morning

The procedure looks good, just the excessive amount of water you used.. Using a small amount of water is critical as it's the way to be certain you're not having too much APAP. I generally use only about half a shot glass.
I would just run numbers on the max APAP that can be in your drink, for HR sake. I think it's about 5mg/ ml? If that's the case you'd still be okay as 5x 150= 750mg

Crap it's 12.78/ml so you're looking at almost 2 grams APAP in your whole CWE. still safe but bc you used so much water now you can have less than two of these CWE in a day safely.
Use less water next time :)
 
Why bother, it´s codeine. That will not help you very much.
Besides, paracetamol is pretty harmful to your liver.
It seems that you are young, take it as it is.

how can i perform CWE on 7pills of 5mg hydrocodone/325 acetaminophen? !

i have no clue on how much water i need to use and the whole process in general :( thanks
