I am a pain patient with several herniated disks. I was adequately treated using 50mgs of hydrocodone a day for seven years. Things were not perfect, but they were pretty good.
Then I moved to Costa Rica where pain management is usually codeine or fentanyl. The allowable over the counter codeine was not adequate for my pain, so they put me on Duragesic fentanyl 50mcgs.
I want to cut these patches to titrate down to 37.50mcgs.
Has anyone cut these particular patches? I know the label says not to. But they are matrix, just like Mylans, at least to my non - chemistry background eye.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
