Waves of craving beat against my soul like some ungodly coastline of desperation.

The true nature of my despair is threatening to reveal itself - like the curviture of the earth is on the verge of being visible if you stare hard enough into the horizon.

Galileos detractors watched the same horizon, refusing to look for something that could so nearly - and yet never completely - be seen with their eyes.

Like a misguided Italian priest - I am fixated on the proverbial curvature of my addiction but refusing to take the leap. I refuse to look for what is barely - yet so clearly - to be seen.

yeah spiffy stuff there. dark humour in the irony too, which is so hard to capture.
there are so many posts in the words forum that one cant possibly read them all. i popped in on this because i liked your quip in the fresstyle rap lounge thread. unfortunately, again your work is too short... i want more outta you when you feel the literary tingle next time! ;)

Hey, thanks a lot guys :)

I'm not as happy with it as I was when I posted it - but I'll post something a bit more polished in the coming weeks :)
