Eons go by and waters are left unchartered, we don't fear to tread but we know not where to look.
Stars and maps can guide the way from A to B.
The problem is I'm stuck at A and I know where B is, but what waters do I tread.
People say it's not the destination that matters but the journey. The journey matters most, guaranteed along the way you will find the end, either through sheer blinded folly or by the right decision.
But again I'm losing track and wandering off the path and the deep dark woods of the night, where perilous patches of quicksand await to draw me down.
Back on the track, machete in hand, wandering the marshlands cutting my path, destroying all obstacles in my way.
Im lost in here.
How I got here, who knows!
But let's not dwell on that, there's more to this story. We were on a journey, trying to get on track. Looking for the destination and more importantly, looking for a starting line. Ears at the ready, waiting for the starting gun to off......Silence. Vast, empty, perilously and hopelessly lost in these marshlands. Clouds over top, biding my time, waiting for a break in the clouds to see stars. Or is the sun out? Who knows what's up there.
Need to find a tree, to the top I can climb. It's ok my hads are dirty, my skin is hard but I lack strength. Not in my arms, but in strength of will.
If only I could see whereI am. If only.
Then I could unfold my map, plot the points that need to be marked and set out.
Maybe if I had some matches I could set alight the whole marshlands and burn down everything in my path. But only then, I would be lost forever, burnt to the core. The fire would be my end before I got to make a better one.
If there was wind, I could feel the life in everything. All the marshes and the filthy swamp water beneath my feet wouldn't be so fetid.
If there was wind I would make another IF and IF myself a boat out of thin air. That wind would would fill my sails and into the world I go.
Into the unchertered waters I don't fear to tread, but can not find a way.
Lanterns light the way, but I don't even know night from day anymore.
It's in these stagnant waters too many people lose themselves and are lost forever from the world.
Help me turn the tide and the currents flowing again.
I will sweep the waters clean and bring you all with me when my IF boat is found beyonf the next hill I conquer.
The wind will fill our sails and we will find many adventures.
***I havent decided what sort of writing this is yet or if I should keep going!
