Currently taking Phenibut and Kratom but want to stop smoking. Can I add Naltrexone?

The title pretty much spells it out. This forum has better advice than my old psychiatrist it seems. Heh. Anyways, Naltrexone has been useful to me before. Kind of makes me feel sick when I smoke and gag at the smell. Hah. Anyways, I only plan on taking it for a maximum of 2 weeks and have been checked out by a general doc and am supposedly in good health! yay! Thanks in advance for any psychopharmacological advice you smarties can give. <3;)

Wow, nuthin?

Should Naltrexone interact with Phenibut?

Thanks for considering the question, even if you don't know the answer!

It'll block the opioid activity of the kratom. I don't think it'll significantly affect the phenibut. If anything, it might make the phenibut less rewarding.

This. Though i wouldn't see it really interfering with Phenibut since that works on Gaba receptors and Naltrexone works on Opioid. Naltrexone also will NOT precipitate Kratom withdrawal as ive tried it accidentally.

Naltrexone's MOA isn't fully understood, but it can decrease the reinforcing properties of drugs that act via GABA signaling. I believe it's used to treat alcoholism. Iike I said, I doubt it'll significantly affect the phenibut, but it's possible that it will make the experience less rewarding.

Engage, I've read that naltrexone may be useful to help people quit smoking. Are you using a nicotine patch? Like others have mentioned, naltrexone will probably dull your kratom and phenibut experience but shouldn't make you sick. I was prescribed this for alcohol cravings and had jittery nauseated side effects.

Id gomwith a patch or my favorite gum. The 4 mg gum if you buy it by the 498 isncheaper than cigs and really helped it gave me stronger effects then amoking kept ,y outh occupied and allowed me to stay focused and happy
