Seems we may have reached a tipping point in Europe on Cathinones as the tightening of precursors is starting to bite.

does anyone have any view on what's being substituted for 3-MMC/4-MMC? what real alternatives are there out there at the moment?

NEP doesn't seem to have much in the way of research around it, and 4-CMC has toxicity risk....3-CMC openly now being sold on DNMs

PMMA remains a serious warning

PMMA continues to be found in pills sold as ecstasy. Warnings in the Netherlands have reached Red Alert status following confirmed pills bearing designs including Trump and Club 555. PMMA may produce weak or delayed expected effects while its toxic effects continue to build. A pill’s appearance cannot establish its contents; every pill needs to be treated as a separate unknown sample.

Cathinones sold under familiar names

Samples sold as mephedrone or 3-MMC have contained other cathinones. The report highlights 4-CMC and NEP in particular. NEP is a substantially more potent stimulant, so taking an unexpectedly substituted sample as though it were 4-MMC presents a different risk.
