Curious about opiates

I have always wanted to try opiates. I have done every other kind of drug enough times, but I have yet to have any luck finding opiates. It seems odd, my friends all do massive amounts of coke and e among other drugs but opiates seem to be unheard of in my social group.
After looking for an opiate to try with no results I may be forced to take another course of action. I know that codeine is considered to be a less desirable opiate in comparison to some of it's stronger relatives, but it seems to be my only option at the moment short of robbing a hospital or some bullshit.
I live in Canada so my question is do you think getting an otc product containing codeine and doing a cold water extraction to get relativly pure codeine is worth it? By worth it I mean is the buzz worth the trouble, or is it nothing worth bothering with. Keep in mind I have no opiate tolerance, and it is more curiosity than anything which generates my desire to try this. I know there are better opiates but this seems to be the only way for me to try them.
Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

If you do a cold water extraction on a OTC products containing codeine I'm pretty sure your gonna get a fairly large amount of caffeine, I don't remember the extact amount, but I know they contain caffeine. Also, since the pills are 8mg Codeine (someone correct me if thats not right), you'll need to do an CWE on at least 20 pills (~160mg) for a decent time, that means you would have to use a fairly large amount of water... I can't imagine drinking all that ultra bitter water...
I would do a search on Google for poppie seeds and grow/produce some home grown opium...

Take a look see in you folk's med cabinet, to see if there is any "for pain" meds that they are not using anymore. Also, do a google for Nurofen Plus, and order some of that.

But yeah! if you are in canada you can by codiene over the counter...and it is worth it...ecspecially with no tolerance..just go out and grab several bottles and when you do it extract a shit load...after it is done just take a little at a time till you get where you want to be...but the reason to make alot is there is nothing worse then just coming short of getting high

im in canada also, and used to frequent the local drugstores for nice bottles of 200 tylenol 1's (8mg codeine).
usually i'd extract from around 40 pills, which indeed would provide a nice, somewhat enjoyable buzz.
as the days have passed though, and ive tried other, more powerful opiates, ive come to the conclusion that this can be quite weak and troublesome in comparison.
usually, after the somewhat short high, id find my stomach felt quite nasty, as if it were eating itself, and the amounts of caffiene extracted with the codeine would keep me awake for hours.
id say that if it's all you can find, and it's your first time, go for it, but make sure to always be keeping your eyes and ears open for better, stronger variations of our wonderous opiate friends..

I think that the opiates are the best drug out there. But be careful what your getting yourself into, because they might be a really good feeling, but they are extremly addictive, i know . but basically check your medicine cabnit and see if there are any meds that say Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Percodan, vicodin, percocet... shit like that... it's a fun time, but in moderation
as for OTC like that... thats nuts... you can't get shit here... you have to actually do what the other guy said and break something in order to get this

I think doing an extraction on codeine would be worth it. Personally, I rather like codeine, especially in combo with caffeine -- so I wouldn't worry about caffeine that comes along with your codeine.

Opiates are a miracle. its an Amazing feeling,
try to get a hold of some Vicodin,or Oxy,
remember there addictive as hell but worth it.

I prefer hydrocodone or oxycodone to codeine, but where you are, codeine will be easy for you to get. Yes, an extraction on something OTC with 8 mg codeine in it is probably worth it.
You do not want to use "fairly large amounts of water" (as BlueDeer mentioned), however - the more water you use, the more acetaminophen/aspirin will wind up in your final solution (assuming you started with a pill that contained these). Use just what's necessary to dissolve the pills as fully as possible. The codeine is quite soluble at cold temperatures (which is the idea, anyway) and you won't lose much by using smaller amounts of water. For ~30 8mg pills I generally use no more than 50 or 60 ml.
It works best with the smaller pills that have only 325 mg of acetaminophen each - having tried it with Panadeine which was not only 500 mg but huge wafers to boot (I can only guess it was more fillers), that was a pain and I had to use more water to get all those solids in suspension or solution. Plus, being able to knock it back in a single swallow is a Good Thing, rather than having to stomach the taste twice.

Samson, if you've never done opiates before, codeine is just fine for someone with no experience or tolerance. You probably won't get completely blasted, but you'll surely have a good time if the itching doesn't bother you.
The coldwater extraction may be more trouble than it's worth. Just find out how much APAP or aceteminophen are in the tablets. As long as you don't take more 3000mgs of that, you're fine. You should be able to get enough codeine from the tablets not using more than 3000mgs of APAP if you don't have a tolerance. Tylenol 3 was the first drug I ever abused, and taking 6-8 tablets got me plenty high enough.
