I recently acquired some 2M2B and was wondering what the chances were of it causing a false positive for alcohol on an ETG urine test. It's my understanding that 2M2B is metabolized into 2,3-dihydroxy-2-methylbutane and gluconoride conjugation. ETG tests test for Ethyl Glucuronide and Ethyl Sulfate. Is there a possibility that 2M2B would cause a false positive for alcohol consumption?
I apologize if this isn't the correct subforum; I'm new here. There isn't any information about this online so I figured this would be a good place to enquire. People looking for information about this in the future could find this post and reference it as well.

We don't allow drug testing discussion, but 2m2b should not metabolize to ethanol. Whether or not it causes false positives is dependent on the testing method.
