I think it depends on too many factors; your personal tolerance, your familiarity with the drug, which amphetamines you are fiddling with... If you have a healthy eating and sleeping habit...
What contributes most to it is the loss of sleep (ime) and if you are using a racemic mixture or just the dexamphetamine; if you don't overdo the dexamphetamine and you eat a whole meal (like pasta) before speeding and remain eating fruits and drinking lots of water (yes I am aware that amphetamines drive that water straight through you but still it helps) then in the end it's rather a gradual comedown then a hangover.
Know your dosage limits
Don't do it for days on end
Eat LOTS of food
Exercice
Look into amphetamine neurotoxicity (search)
Look into amphetamine addiction (search)
Look into supplements that can aid you (you'll find that right along with the neurotoxicity is my guess)
if you are doing it too much as of lately or binging on it then i'd suggest picking up GHB; that always helped me the most. Wait long enough (depending on you ROA) for the amphetamine to wear off mostly and then take a slightly more as average dose for you personally and have a refreshing sleep.
GHB does wonders, I don't have any hangover at all if I decide to end the day with GHB. Opiates are another good suggestion but i'd rather not use them too often and benzo's just aren't my kind of thing
Edit: weed can help but that's diffirent for everyone... It does up your heartbeat even more (along with the amphetamines) i've had enough experiences where I couldn't catch some sleep due to my heart racing too fast. Amphetamine + weed is no sleep for me.
