just wondering if going thru daily routines 365 days a year with the constant thots of memorys of thizzing, raving, excelent times. With friends n strangers, to the constant sound track of my favorite tracks would be considered an ecstacy addict or just a true raver thru and thru? I do space my rolls and maximize them but it seems i cant wait for the next party or ckub date...twice a week and on weekends in in the club or venue and i only thizz on special occasions or every two months.... I feel like i am just a raver completely submerged and loving his culture but to some of my friends they think i may b too just a full blown ecstacy addict. I do my real life things i gotta do like make money to feed myself and stay dry as well as chill with non ravers, 23 yr old shit but the thots of the scene r always on my mind and calling me to attend religiously even sober just to b there to maximize others experience wether it b gloving massaging even just letting a chick rub on my chisledness.... I am confused bout thissss... If i made no sense sry i tried ha ha ha

i'm in the same boat to an extent. I think about thizz, music, the rave scene and all the good memories that have come from E AT LEAST 2-3 times a day.
I space my rolls as well and play sports and shit. Its not just you so don't trip.
I'd say you're an "addict" when you start abusing the drug and don't do the normal shit that needs to get done in life. you're fine.

You guys might be psychologically addicted. Though not an actually accepted medical term, you can be addicted to really anything that makes you feel good. I've never been addicted or had any serious withdrawal from using MDMA or miscellaneous "extacy" pills 2 or 3 times in one week, so I don't think thats much to worry about.

I am glad to hear i am not the only one lol!

dude.. sounds like you're just a scener =) I was like that way, way back in the day to some extent. Always excited about the next party and who was playing -- until they stopped playing the music I liked in the USA. If you're only doing e every couple of months, you may have a psychological addiction you have under control, but that's about it =)

I'm a total scener- I immerse myself with edm culture, my boyfriend and crew go to events every weekend FILLED with rolling ppl armed with glovesets, vicks, extra gum...and we rarely roll, lol. My YouTube history is 75% videos or music about MDMA. I look for
Shulgins writings online when I'm bored, I'll almost always bring up rolling if I'm drinking. It's a preoccupation! Lol

Same here man. It started with kiddie techno. I started listening to it and I would bring my Bose to school and BLAST the sh!t. the first week people looked at me weird and then the next week I had all the 'cool' kids surrounding me dancing. All the fine Californian girls flocked as well.

I then started listening to the longer music that wasnt as liked but better if you actually listened to it rather than just the cheap 10 second catchy tunes.

Anyways, I feel like i pretty much made EDM cool at my old school. So im happy about that. And everyone I knew back there goes to raves now.

I always think about it because of the feelings involved. When you do E sparingly it still has that magical feeling, and its that feeling that keeps me loving the drug but also keeps me in ABSOLUTE fear of losing the magic. So after EDC 09 (where i rolled HARD back to back nights) I treat it with respect.

And on the addiction thing, Its all in your head. You choose to do it or not, if you cannot control your own emotions and body then you are severely weak minded in my opinion. I am one of those people that think that your mind can control EVERYTHING (Mind over Matter). Hell, I can hold my breath for over 3 minutes so maybe im not the majority

Yeah, you totally weren't overdoing it at ALL.

Please people stop spreading shit like this, YEH GUYZ DROP 3 TYMZ A WEEK I DI IT ND I WUZ FINE LOLOL!

^agreed. Harm reduction, remember?

Try to stay away from usage more often than every 1-2months, AT LEAST. I know it's easier said than done (I don't practice this sometimes, either), but saying that nothing bad will happen from dropping 2-3 times a week is asking for disaster.

I used to attend raves, sober or not, every 2-3 weeks, and found myself in the same position as you. I still find myself thinking about mdma alot (being on BL constantly certainly doesn't help, lol), but less now than I did in the past.. IMO, if you're not abusively consuming MDMA, and continue not to, then this is just gonna be a phase in your life (the 'obsession with mdma'). Looks like you are well aware of the risks and have planned ahead by not screwing yourself via overdoing it, though. Nothing to really say but to enjoy it, and try not to get caught up in it!

fellow glover whats up!?!?!?! i am definatly glad to hear i am not the only one, "scener" it is haha.

I think we meet 10+ people a night because of the lightglove shows! Lol.... I think edm culture tends to be a very positive world if you don't make it about rolling, but about the music, and what personal lessons MDMA has taught you. If edm=being on drugs, I personally think that's a problem.

interesting thread... I personally think the culture is the best (big) thing that's happened from illicit drugs.. plur, and what the moto of raving is, is truly beautiful.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it

I never said to drop 3 times a week. All I said was, if a 15 year old can get away with doing MDMA 3 times in a week, then you should be fine doing it once in a month. 8)
Is it possible to have one thread without a smart-ass troll?

It wud b sweet haha. I didnt think this thred wpuld even get 5 posts thanx a bunch guys. This was my first threas.

I am definitely addicted to the culture, I have done MDMA enough times to where the comedown and following days have started to become slightly worse and worse with each use, and that alone is enough to keep me from abusing the substance itself. However, whenever I listen to music, I find that MDMA use has increased my appreciation for it, and I always find myself looking forward to the next party where I will be using MDMA, despite the fact that it may be 6-12 months away or more. :P

Sounds just like my crew:)

Same here my friends judge me so much. They say i take way to much, but honestly i don't do it that often however when i do do it I sometimes go a bit overboard:), but i understand the values and fortunately the consequences as well, but the culture is the best thing about it. I like that i can listen to songs and absolutely love them even more than before because those great memories.
