I've been reading varying opinions about crushing Adderall extended release beads and whether it actually gets rid of the time release mechanism.
The reason I'm asking is because the other night I crushed 10mg XR and mixed the powder in a glass of water, around 7:45pm. My tolerance is moderate enough -- if I took 10mg IR at that time I'd have no problems getting to sleep. With the XR though, I went to bed around 1am and didn't fully fall asleep until sometime after 5am. I'm pretty sure I crushed them thoroughly.
I'm wanting to use it tonight, probably around the same time, but not if I can't get to sleep again. How effective in defeating the time release is crushing the beads with a spoon in a small bowl?
Also, would snorting the powder have it affect me for the same amount of time as mixing the powder with water?
