Crowd funded LD50 experiments on legal RCs

Obviously certain things need to be tested in the name of science.

^ if you read that article however, you will find that science is pretty fucked up. Harm isn't exactly being minimized. That guy had to do decades of frog testing instead of a few years because a corporation didn't wanna stop using their fertilizer THAT WAS FUCKING UP OUR GENITALS. Anyways, MAPS is doing great things for science with scientists who are amongst the most noble ones i've ever heard of. I'm sure some more funding would help them provide data on how to keep our brains and bodies healthy.

^If YOU had read that article, you'd understand that he found it was possibly interfering with the sexual development of frogs, which isn't quite the same as "FUCKING UP OUR GENITALS", your majuscule analysis. There's actually not very much science in that article; if you want to "find that science is pretty fucked up", I suggest reading Kuhn, instead.

^ I'd have to agree.. it is rather cruel, to the animal. However the alternative would be to find volunteers who want to take lethal amounts of hard drugs... not a very moral situation either way. I'd go with the lesser of the two evils.

You're stating this as if it's one or the other. It isn't.

We don't know the LD50 for a great number of recreational drugs. As others have pointed out, the LD50 for an animal study isn't even particularly helpful when applied to humans.

IMHO, a more worthwhile use of the money would be educating the folks that use these substances and advocating for clear dosage information (in the case of NBOMes, why not just print it right on the blotter?). That way, we can prevent possible deaths of otherwise uninformed folks, we can gather useful data when people do go overboard and OD, and there's no senseless killing of animals.
