Cross tolerance

I just got some acid today and I can't wait to take it, problem is I took a large dose of shrooms last night (+9g) so I'm wondering if it would be a complete waste to take it tonight or should I wait? I have no problem taking a double dose or trying to potentiate the acid btw.

Might have to double up on the acid, I think there's a bit of cross tolerance between the two.

There'll be tolerance. LSD and Psilocybin are both agonists of the 5HT2 family of serorotonin receptors, mainly 5HT2a. LSD will have caused some of those receptors to internalise in binding to them, those receptors are now unavailable until they recycle back out to the surface of the cell. The LSD you're planning to take will find fewer receptors to play with, so effects will be diminished. You'd probably get something from it depending on doses of both but best to wait, probably a week to get anything like full effects from it.

There will definitely be cross tolerance, especially since you took a rather large dosage of shrooms.
It's best to wait at least 2-3 days between "intense" psychedelic experiences, if not a week or more.

Wait til 72h after you took the shroomage and take a 1.5x dose of 'cid and you should be fine

Thanks for the replies everyone. One of the reasons I asked was because due to soome shitty circumstances if I didn't trip last weekend then I would have the time to for a few months, but luckily things changed so I'll be taking a week of and dosing on staurday, god I can't wait!
