I have a question. I'm not really sure how exactly to search for this information so i'll ask the people on this forum as the information here has enlightened and helped me many times.
If you are addicted to methadone (which i am) and you take something weak like tramadol to combat the symptoms, are you still expelling the methadone from your system? Is it just keeping the problem the same?
I'm coming off taking about 40mg of methadone a day, dosage varying frequently for about 3 months as i was getting it on the street. I was doing Opana IR's IV and Heroin prior to that and was getting pretty hooked.. I took some tramadol to help the symptoms. It helped...a lot. But all the tramadol is gone already...
I guess the real question is do all opiates work with each other to make you the twitchy aggressive and hollow drug addict you eventually become? Can it be said that any kind of replacement therapy is any good?
BTW I think replacement therapy (especially with methadone) is very bad because methadone is listed as THE MOST ADDICTIVE opiate. I don't know if i regret having started taking it...I do now but man did it get me high initially..
I don't know where i stand right now...i'm trying to get off but it seems doubtful.
