hey guys im a newb...

been taking pills a while now, every time i get a good one, or double drop i go cross eyed. When i was younger, i was crosseyed full time, but grew out of it.

I guess now it happens coz i have a weak muscle in my eye or something.

Any ideas how to stop this, or to hide it?

Its real embarrasing.. I even tried wearing sunnies out to a club to hide it
looked pretty stupid lol.

Everyone wears sunglasses in the club in los angeles.

cross eyed or not.

thats what we do.

If your rollin. you wear sun glasses.

you be the first, start the trend,

hahah

hey
if my eyes arent crossed , theyr rollin in the back of my head anyway,
if your gunna wear glasses in a club make sure they are somewhat stylish to your liking, here in nyc alot of people wear sunglasses in the club also, I do , I love having my sunglasses with me and looking at the lights! I don't leave home without them!

HaHa!!! This exact same thing happens to me!! and I have a similar background with poor eyesight. The 1st time it happened I remember not being able to focus, and woud strain my eyes trying to focus but would only cause my eye to turn in.

You have to try and relax, and just except the fact you can't see shit while rolling hard and stop trying to focus. If you have to focus to check time or whatever just cover 1 eye with your hand, this works for me!

You do not grow out of strabismus (misalignment of the eyes). It is the control of the deviation that changes or you have surgery to correct it. Even then the eye turn can come back or exist in a very small degree. Control is affected by stress, fatigue, health changes (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes), medication changes, and recreational drugs.

When you are on e, the ability for the ocular motor and sensory systems to work to keep your eyes straight is affected. The more fucked you get, the less eye muscle control you have. The only thing you can do is not take drugs. So if that isn't happening, stick to the shades, close one eye, or wear a pirate patch. Argh matey!

If it does bother you then you could perhaps get some sort of contact lens that is coloured like an eye and just place one crooked so that it looks straight and if it is both eyes then use both...maybe a shite suggestion but it's all I can think of other than to not bother about it, but If it does bother you then It mite lessen the good times from the pills:\

Whenever I get really really fucked up (weed, e, booze) my eyes tend to go cross eyed sometimes, and I never had problems as a child. It just means I'm retarded and having a fucking GREAT time. lol

I don't like looking at cross eyed people when I am fucked up and I take care of people who look like that for a living. You are right, dude. Few people want to look at a cock eye.

Longer-term?

Anyone have this problem for a few days after taking E?

'Someone I know' has eyes that just roll around totally screwed but then remain cross-eyed like this for days, even weeks after their roll. It is highly visible to others in normal life and is therefore an issue.

Anyone else have this problem - any suggestions?

my guess is that it's from longer lasting serotonergic changes in the brain. try supplementing with 5-htp daily and see if that helps at all.

Serotonin acts on smooth muscle not striated. Extraocular muscles are striated. Decompensated strabismus is not caused by the "longer lasting serotonergic changes in the brain". Adding 5HTP to aid in the production of serotonin will not help. If the release of serotonin actually caused strabismus, then supplementing after taking the drug would prolong the misalignment with your guess.

My suggestion to the OP: See a pediatric ophthalmologist for a cycloplegic refraction. If your eye turn is related to latent hyperopia (farsightedness), you my benefit from wearing optical correction to align your eyes. Keep in mind you will be blurry at distance with the glasses or contacts until you get used to them OR until the drug kicks in.

My friend

My friend has had this problem since the first time they took E, and has only ever taken a single pill at a time, and has only taken E twice. It's not to do with over-use. I have no idea whether there are others out there with a similar problem to my friend?

I've been using E for over 2 years now and suddenly this happened for the first time the other night. It was a bit frustrating because it was hard to see unless I kept one eye closed. Usually whichever eye wasn't focusing would just drift, which was a bit frightening but it wore off after a few hours. Not sure what was different in those pills.

I've never gone totally cross-eyed, but last time I couldn't see the time on my phone.. I had to ask my friend. That was fucked up.

Yeah, that happened to me a couple of times when I was rolling really hard =D It only lasted during the peak though, and I was able to focus again by the comedown.

Pretty embarrassing though. The first time, I had to keep one eye closed in order to see anything, and could not for the life of me judge the distance of my cigarette when attempting to light it. Ended up lighting the wrong end and just melting the filter. :o

I just put on my sunglasses the next time it happened. Good times :D

This happans to me alot of times... Usualy on pills with amph/meth in them. Mdma doesnt do it to me, i get the eye wiggles, but not the crosseyes. I hate that shit, it makes me feel like a crackhead, i cant talk to people. I always bring some realy dark shades with me to the club just in case. Better safe then sorry.
