critique the song above

7.5/10

Normally, I am not a huge Godsmack fan, but I can definitely appreciate Stay Away - among a few other tracks.

And since I like to spam BL with the music I am currently liking a lot, we will go with (and again continuing with the instrumental theme I'm on)...

Russian Circles - Station

8.5/10
I've always liked this little tune.
A lot of people don't know that David Gilmour of Pink Floyd produced this track. You can definitely hear his influence as it sounds a lot like Momentary Lapse of Reason-era Floyd with its reverby drums and chorused-out guitars.
The nostalgic lyrics romanticize a bygone era of simpler times. A world that really doesn't exist anymore. Because of this, the song has always makes me a little melancholy.

Life in a Northern Town is one of my most favorite songs ever. <3 You summed up my feelings for it perfectly.
ooops....carry on....

But does she have one original song, or just covers

her album horses is worth checking

Punk rock's poet laureate, Patti Smith ranks among the most influential female rock & rollers of all time. Ambitious, unconventional, and challenging, Smith's music was hailed as the most exciting fusion of rock and poetry since Bob Dylan's heyday.

Patti Smith has been a great source of inspiration for Michael Stipe of R.E.M. Listening to her album Horses when he was 15 made a huge impact on him. He said later: "I decided then that I was going to start a band.''

6/10--- its not a bad rendition, especially if she plays the guitar herself! But does she have one original song, or just covers?

Nektar - Remember the Future, Part One

10/10 cus I finally found the band that inspired Les Claypool's Electric Apricot movie (spoof documentary about jam bands, funny as crap)!

Speaking of Les Claypool, how's about a little PRIMUS?

Jerry was a Racecar Driver - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUxAol0wbak
with a Bocephus sticker on his 442 he'd light em up just for fun

I never got it though. Is Claypool from a redneck family? I know they were auto mechanics, but I always though he was Jewish. Does he just enjoy singing with a country twang or what? Anyone know?

or just rate the song hah
