“Criminal Mind (in the Morning Time) Parts I & II”
(Reed Rosson)
PART I
Wallowing in playful, sinful desires
swallowing my sour pride under fire
and your sacrifices for taunting love so blind
from those whom you ardently admire
(in the morningtime)
(Fill in these parenthesis with something that satisfies)
Dribble-down future music-makers cry
at the sound of the fluid noise, I still sigh
Grin wide from that time to this chime
Usually once I hear the birds sing
(in the morning time)
(What do you care for a criminal?)
PART II
Hit jingle-jangle gentle man
experimental case on hand
my mind keeps racing and I’m tied within
a spacey jam I’m just a-wanderin in
but I dont worry I feel a breeze
I’m in a hurry but at some ease
That’s just the way I like it,
Prime…
I'm even softly smiling
(in the morning time)
(At least I’m not a Klepto)
Criminal mind sketching rhyme
Cost me a fifteen bucks to win a hot damn dime
What do you care for a mindful criminal?
Well I care for anyone if they’re at least original
(What you perceive and believe as Innocence
and all the other more mad matter,
could possibly be sticking sorrow in pockets
in the lint of a cloak with its dagger)
Though I’m burning out on crackly-beat-grinds
Commando style n’ cheap blood-red wine
I’m lookin for Lucy but she ain’t in the sky
I’m still softly smiling
(in the morning time)
(Rhymes and crimes go together quite nice
but that doesn’t mean you are first or last in line,
in fact you’re probably piss-strived to be perfected
that your fat-ass ego can’t stand to be infected)
Even if I got rejected
it'd be nothin really unexpected
I’ve made up my mind and may have wrecked it
but more or less I'm calm-collected)
I say to a callous cop “Cocka-doodle-doo,
catch any bad guys today or have they caught you?”
Whisperings in my head begin to escalate to
a sonic groove paradigm in the late afternoon
Tomorrow’s mania might not dare come
‘cuz I’m on a down n drowsy near-suicide run
n‘cuz there’s an unfound mountain I’d love to try to climb
without succumbing to my demise
(in the morning time)
