but i decided to change my vote because i really need a new avatar. i have had the same one since i joined BL. actually, i think i needed 100 posts before i could get one which prolly took me a awhile. either way, its been a long time.

Hey we all did it and it could be the deciding vote. If you were running for president would you vote for yourself because you knew that you were the best candidate?

Also my only condition for design is that the hammer and sickle appear it doesn't have to be big and it doesn't have to stay on screen for long, but it has to be there. Thats it. My parameters are so open its insane.

My thinking was that I would be able to gauge if people were still interested in being a contestant if they voted in the poll, but then I figured that they might abstain if they couldn't vote for themselves, because if they were not allowed to vote for themselves then they would have to vote for one of their competitors, and some would probably decide not to vote at all rather than give an extra vote for the competition. I figured if someone could not even show up to vote for themselves, then I would rather choose someone else to be the subject of the contest, since I want the subject to be interested in the contest and willing to display the winning avatar. Voting for oneself is not promoted over voting for others, it is simply another option. As you can see, some people still chose to vote for someone other than themselves.
 
I thought that the contest sort of died and had no idea until last night in the PM hours that I was in this poll. All I can say is SWEET!
